    Died Oct. 27, 1918. Of influenza and pneumonia. Born in Maberley, Canada, March 24, 1885, he came to Long Beach June 14, 1916, and worked as auditor at the Golden Gate Woolen Mills until he became manager of the liberty loan window at First National bank in October 1917. On Aug. 29, 1911, he married Helen Wilson, who survives him. Also survived by father A.E. Holden and brother J.K. Holden, both of Hollywood, and brother F.H. Holden, artillery captain with Pershing's forces in France. He was a member of the Redlands lodge B.P.O.E. and recently transferred to the Long Beach lodge.
