Beloved daughter of the late Norman McRae and his wife the late Muriel Simpson. Loving wife of Glynn Reid. Dear mother of Glynn of Calgary, Kimberly (Paul) and Christopher, all of Belleville. Grandmother of Timothy and Paul. Loving sister of Wendell (Claire) McRae of Stittsville, Audrey Hunter (William) of Kanata, Norma Kerfoot (Stan) of Nepean, James (Claudette) McRae of Cambridge and William (Mariette) McRae of North Bay. Fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews and long time friend Earla (Anstiss) Clemo. Funeral Service will be held at the Alan R. Barker Funeral Home 19 McArthur Ave. Carleton Place on Saturday at 2 pm Interment to follow at United Cemeteries, Carleton Place. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society. Ottawa Citizen, Jun. 18/99

Feb. 9 The funeral of William James Simpson, life-long resident of Goulburn. took place from his late home on the 7th lines Tuesday , afternoon and was largely attended. Rev. T. A. Woods of the United church. Ashton. conducted the services
The pall-bearers were Harry I McArton, William Anderson. Roy Fee. Hubert Fee, all nephews; Eric Simpson and Stewart Lewis, sons-in-law. Numerous beautiful floral tributes were received and many friends from Carleton Place and the surrounding districts were in attendance.
The late Mr. Simpson, who passed away on Sunday, was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Simpson and was born in Goulburn on the farm where he passed away.
He was married in Ramsay to Miss Sarah Greig who survives, with one son, Cecil, at home: also two daughters. Mrs. Stewart Lewis, and Mrs. Norman McRae, both of Beckwith. Two sisters. Mrs. James McArton. of Huntley. and Mrs. Robert Anderson, of Goulburn, also survive.
