Predeceased by his wife on Feb. 11th, 1955, Mrs Slater is survived by one daughter, ipatricia Mrs. Slater Abbott, of 1923 Rockland Ave . Rockville Md , USA. and two grandchildren. Funeral services will oe held in the Chapel at Speers Funeral Home on Wednesday. June 6th at 3 pm. with the Rev, Dr T H. Sendali officiating interment will be in the firmly pint.     SLATER RITES ON SATURDAY
    A resident of Regina for close to 35 years, Mrs. Julia M, Slater. 2106 Argyle street, died Wednesday in a Regina hospital.
    Funeral service will be in Westminster United church Saturday at 2 pm with Rev, Dr, J Scott Leith officiating. Burial will be In Riverside Memorial Park. Born in Clairmont, Iowa, Mrs Slater was educated in Chicago where she worked for a number of years before coming to Regina in 1920. She married John Slater in Regina He worked with the Minneapolis-Moline company for 35 years before retring in 1974.
    Mrs Slater was an active member of the Regina Women's Liberal club and of Westminster United church.
    Besides her husband, Mrs Slater is survived by a daughter, Mrs. E. A. Abbott, Washington, D. C.; a brother Fred Wille, 41 Grenfell apartments; a sister, Mrs. Amelia Chew, Hot Springs, Arkansas, and two grandchildren.

    John Slater, 80. died late Friday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Miss Margaret Slater, 1021 East Adams Street. Mr. Slater was a native of Canada, but has been a resident of Muncie for the past six years. He was a mem ber of the Odd Fellows Lodge or more than 50 yaars and a life mem ber of the Fresbyterian Church. Surviving are two daughters. Miss Margaret Slater of Muncie and Miss Florence Slater of Regina. Sackatch-wan and a son, John Slater also of Regina. Funeral services are to be held at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon with Dr. John W. Nicely, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, in charge. Late Saturday evening the body is to be taken to Mr. Slaters former home, Guelph, Canada, for burial.
