Dec. 30th, 1968, Alan George aged 42 years, beloved husband of Mrs. Doreen W. Van Iderstine, 2615 35th St. S.W. Born at Moose Jaw, Sask., Mr. Van Iderstine had lived in Calgary since 1952 where he operated Equipment Rentals. Besides his loving wife, he is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Van Iderstine, Saskatoon, a brother. Ken Van Iderstine, Moose Jaw, a sister, Mrs. Vern (Joan) King, Kenora, Ont.
Services conducted by Rev. Dr. Robert Tillman will be held in MclNNIS and HOLLOWAY'S "Park Memorial Chapel" (15th Ave. and 4th St. S.W.) Thursday at 3:30 p.m. Interment Queen's Park Cemetery.

George Elliott Van Iderstine. age 78 years, of 1805 Clarence Avenue, formerly of Moose Jaw. Sask.. occurred in a local hospital on March 17. 1971. The funeral service will be held on Saturday March 29 at 19.30 am. from McKague's Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. D. J. H. Cook. A graveside committal service will be held at 3 p m. in the Rosedale Cemetery in Moose Jaw, conducted bv Dr Homer Lane. Surviving are: his wife. Bessie, one daughter Mrs. Vernon (Joan) King of Fort Franis, Ontario: one son. Kenneth D. Van Iderstine of Moose Jaw; predeceased by a son. Alan George in 1968 also surviving are five grand children, one sister. Miss Rea van Idenstine. of Charlottetown. P.EJ : three brothers, Ira of Victoria, Davis of Winnipeg and Roy of Regina. Mr Van Iderstine was born in Hunter River, PEI, coming west to Moose Jaw in 1912. In 1920 he married Miss Bessie Scott. Mr Van Iderstine was active in amateur radio in Moose Jaw with 10 AB the forerunner of CHAB Moose Jaw. In 1950 he moved to Saskatoon and worked for manv vears for the Royal Shoe Store and Brickers Shoes before ill health forced his retirement in 1968.
Interment will be made in Rosedale cemetery, Moose Jaw. Guest parking directly south of the Funeral Home, Third Ave. and 29th St.

George married Elizabeth Mary Ann "Bessie" Scott in 1920 in Moose Jaw, Moose Jaw Census Division, Saskatchewan, Canada. Mrs. Bessie Van lderstine of 803 220 High St. East, Moose Jaw passed away suddenly Wed , Dec. 8th, 1982 age 87 years. Born at Almonte, Ontario In 1895, she came to Moose Jaw In 1912, later marrying George Elliott Van lderstine in 1920. The couple moved in 1950 to Saskatoon. Mr. Vanlderstine passed away in 1971. Mrs. Van lderstine returned to Moose Jaw in 1980 and has resided here since. Predeceased by her husband, a son Alan In 1969, she is survived by one daughter Mrs. Joan King, Winnipeg; one son Kenneth and his wife Neta, Moose Jaw; grandchildren, Mrs. Deborah (Brad) Holland Fort Francis, Ontario, Barbara King, Winnipeg, Craig Van lderstine, Edmonton, Glenn, Saskatoon and Jeffrey of Moose Jaw. Funeral Services were held at W. J. Jones and Son Chapel, Sat., Dec. 11th at 2 p.m. Rev. Dr. A. W. Martin officiated. Interment at Rosedale Cemetery. Memorial Donations to Saskatchewan Heart Foundation, P.O. Box 521, Moose Jaw, Sask. S6H 4P2, would be appreciated.

The funeral of the late William Henry Scott, who passed away in his 81st year at his home on Malcolm Street, early Monday morning, was held Tuesday afternoon, July 11th, at 2 p.m. He was born at Boyd Settlement, Ramsay Township, a son of the late William Scott and Elizabeth Hampton of Union Hall.
In the year 1881 he was married to Rachel Evans of Clayton. He made his home in Almonte and District, until 17 years ago when he left for Saskatchewan where he was employed by National Railways. Mr and Mrs Scott returned to their home in Almonte to celebrate their Golden Wedding in 1931, and for the past two years Mr Scott has been in poor health.
Many beautiful floral tributes were received from the family and friends. the pallbearers were Messrs Bert Young, Roy Robertson, Ernest Robertson, Bert Evans, Harold Prescott and Harry Houston. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife and three sons, William Harvey Scott of Almonte, and Alston and James of Melville, Sask; three daughters Ila, Mrs H.L. Coxford of Almonte; Lucy, Mrs Frank Snow, of Fort William and Bessie, Mrs George Van Iderstine of Moose Jaw, and two brothers, John A. Scott of Toronto; and W.E. Scott of Almonte. Three sisters, Mrs Robert Young of Almonte, Mrs J. Robertson of Castor, Alta, and Mrs W.S. Baldwin of Shoal Lake, Man, also survive.

?/i?The death occured early Sunday morning, August 6th, of a well-known resident of Almonte, Mrs. William H. Scott, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Herbert Coxford. She was in her 81st. year.

Mrs Scott was born at Clayton, a daughter of the late William Evans and his wife Betsy Munro. Fifty-eight years ago she married William H. Scott, who predeceased here eight years ago. Mrs. Scott had resided in Almonte for over 40 years. In religion she was Presbyterian. Following her husbands death she resided with her daughter.

Of a family of eight, six survive, three daughters and three sons, Mrs. Herbert Coxford, Almonte; Mrs. Frank Snow, Fort William; Mrs George Vaniderstine, Moose Jaw; Harvey and James Scott, Almonte; and Alston of Melville, Saskatchewan. Three sisters and one brother also survive, Mrs. Geo. Pretty, Darling; Mrs Ida Prescott, Smiths Falls; Mrs Mort Young, Regina, Sask, and Abraham Evans of Clayton.

The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon from the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. Coxford. The pallbearers were Roy Robertson, Harold Prescott, Roy Evans, Ernest Robertson, Findlay Gordon and Wm. Pretty. Interment was in the Auld Kirk cemetery.

Mr. Wm. Scott, the well-known farmer of the 3rd line of Ramsay, died on Saturday last, from an attack of heart failure, and was buried in the cemetery at Boyd's Settlement on Monday, the funeral being largely attended. The late Mr. Scott was born in Ireland 78 years ago, and came to Canada in 1849 - forty-four years ago. He spent those forty-four years in Ramsay township. Mr. Scott was married three times, and had sixteen children, thirteen of whom survive, with fifty-three grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren, to mourn his loss.
