    He was born July 19, 1915, in Toledo, Ohio He moved to the ridge from Palo Alto following his retirement in 1977.
    Green was a researche instructor for more than 27 years He worked in Stanford University's Yucca Flats research program and then in the university's electronics lab for 10 years Green also worked also at Foothill and West Valley community colleges, last working as a physics instructor.
    He was a member of St Thomas More Catholic Church Paradise Elks Iiodge and Paradise Moose Lodge.
    Survivors include his wife Alice of Paradise four daughters Sharon of Yipislanti, Mich.; Delores Jackson of Topeka Kan.; Charlene McCormick of Denver, Colo.; and Ruth Mullins of Salem Neb. a sister Jean Martin of Fort Meyers Fla and three grandchilrden
    The Rev Simon Twoiney of St. Thomas More Catholic Church will officiate at the Mass.
    Inurnment will be in Paradise Cemetery at a later date A memorial service is pending at Paradise Elks Lodge.
    Contributions may be made to Hospice of the Ridge or American Cancer Society in care of Rose Chapel which is handling arrangements.

    Age 95, passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Au Sable Valley Community, Fairview, MI. She was born May 15, 1915 in Ypsilanti, MI, the daughter of John A. and Cecile (Harrington) Coxford.

    She was a housekeeper for many years at Beyer Hospital in Ypsilanti. Survivors include: her loving daughter, Sharon (fianc?, James Banks) Causley of Comins; four grandchildren, Mark (Janet) Hagar of AZ, Teressa (Eric) Dohn of Ypsilanti, Gina (Brett) Rendeiro of Commerce Township, MI and J.R. (Sis) Causley of Lewiston, MI; and seven great grandchildren, Justin and Nick Hagar, Isabella and Makenna Rendeiro and Chase, Kenny and Kristin Causley. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, John A. Green in 1965 and two brothers, Jack and Bill. A special thank you to James Banks, Sharon's fianc?, who helped Sharon take care of her mother and who loved Margaret very much. The funeral service will be 2 pm Thursday, October 7, 2010 at Stark Funeral Service with Pastor Gordon Moore officiating. Entombment will follow in Highland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Alzheimers Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home where the family will greet friends from 11 am until time of service Thursday.
