Funeral of Mrs John Forgie
The funeral of the late Mrs John Forgie took place on Saturday afternoon last, to the eighth line cemetery, and was attended by many friends of former days. Among those from outside points were Messrs H. S. Forgie of Toronto; Mr and Mrs D. Hamilton of Carleton Place; Mr and Mrs Graham Forgie from Maynard, Mass; Mr Wm H. Forgie, Toronto; and Mr Robert Forgie of Winnipeg. These three latter-named sons of deceased with Mr Duncan Forgie of Almonte, another son, were pall-bearers.
Mary married Allan Gilmour in 1870. Allan (son of John Gilmour and Jane Lindsay) was born on 4 Jan 1852 in Ramsay Township, Lanark County, Canada West; died on 6 May 1938 in Almonte, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada; was buried in May 1938 in Auld Kirk Cemetery, Ramsay, Mississippi Mills, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada.
