Obituary - Lanark Era - Sept.20,1905 -
In Dalhousie, Thursday Sept. 14th, Catherine Glenn, wife of Mr. Thomas J. Cameron, aged 70 years. Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, she came with her parents at the age of 8 years, to Canada. The family settled in Bathurst, and at the age of twenty, she moved to North Sherbrooke, where, three years later, she married Thos. J. Cameron, and went to live a mile from McDonald's Corners. Her husband survives together with five children; James L., of Sheridan's Rapids; Charles and John on the homestead; Thomas, in Bathurst; Mrs. Wm. Buchan, in Dalhousie. A daughter, Maggie, died four years ago. Two brothers and two sisters also survive; John Glenn, of Clarendon; Charles Glenn, of the Highland Line; Mrs. Duncan McIntyre, and Mrs. John Stewart, of North Sherbrooke. Burial in the Highland Line Cemetery on Saturday.

Cameron - Our McDonald's Corners correspondent writes :- Again our community has been called upon to record the death of one of its oldest residents. On Thursday, Sept.14th, Mrs. Thomas Cameron succumbed to the strain of an illness extending over five months. Though of late apparently gaining and hope of her recovery cherished she became suddenly worse and passed away. Deceased's maiden name was Miss Katie Glenn, born seventy years ago at Edinburgh, Scotland, came to Canada with family when eight years of age. She was afterwards married to Thomas Cameron and together they established their home on the ninth line of Dalhousie. For twelve years past Mrs. Cameron has been almost unintermittently called upon to wait upon the sick, both her parents having spent their last days with her, and a daughter, Maggie, suffered for eight years with spinal disease from which she died three years ago. Undoubtedly these cares tenderly and devotedly served, together with the usual demands of household duty, more than tired her constitution. She was a patient sufferer; looked hopefully to be spared to her husband and boys alone at home, yet was resigned to higher rulings if her lifework seemed to be done. A large number of friends gathered at the home on Saturday afternoon for the funeral service, and followed the remains to Highland Line Cemetery. There are left to mourn her loss Thomas Cameron Sr., husband; James, Charles, William and John, sons; Lizzie (Mrs. Wm. Buchan), and Mrs. Green (adopted) of Kingston, daughters. Mrs. Duncan McIntyre and Mrs. John Stewart, Elphin are sisters; John Glenn, Clarendon, and Charles Glenn, Highland Line, are brothers.
