    Pyelitis inflamation of the renal pelvis, a fairly common disease that usually can be diagnosed and cured without great difficulty. But left untreated can lead to kidney damage. Cronic form is Pyelonephritis.

    William Coxford of Almonte celbrated his 85th birthday on Monday of this week. Twenty-five years ago, the week of the Old Boys' Reunion, nine of the family met, Mrs. Wm. Barker, Mrs. H. M. Snedden, Mrs. C. Black, Mrs. R, Barker. H. L. Coxford, T. Coxford, ?>. M. Coxford, A. W. Coxford and Wm. Coxford. Of the nine present 25 years ago, 8 are still living and four were together on Monday.

    William Coxford
    Following an illness of three weeks' duration, William Coxford passed quietly to rest at his home on Union Street early New Year's morning. He was born in Ramsay Township in 1860, a son of the late James Coxford and Mary Kennedy.

    At an early age he became a textile operator. He worked as his trade in Blakeney and at the Anchor Mill and Penman Mill, in Almonte, retiring fifteen years ago. (1931)

    In 1886 he married Jessie Tosh of Blakeney, who predeceased him five years ago. Their only daughter, Ethel McIntyre (Mrs J.B. Cram) died 13 years ago.

    Left to mourn are two grandchildren, William Cram of Galt and Jessie (Mrs Arthur Morton), who made her home with her grandparents, following her mother's death, and three great grandchildren.

    Of his immediate family, of whom there were sixteen members, four sisters and four brothers survive, namely: Annie, Mrs Wm Barker and Agnes , Mrs Manse Snedden, both of Appleton; Janie , Mrs Chas Black, and Lizzie, Mrs L Fulton, of Fort William and Archie, Edmonton, Alta.; Robert of Estevan, Sask.; Herbert of Almonte and Thomas of Ottawa.

    Mr Coxford was held in high esteem by a wide circle of friends. In spite of his years, he was active until a short time ago and took a keen interest in affairs of the community.

    Deceased was a member of Mississippi Lodge No 147, A.F. & A.M., and the Masonic service was held at the home on Wedneday at 8 p.m.

    The funeral service was held on Thursday, Jan 3 at 2:30 and was largely attended by friends and relatives. The service was conducted by Rev H.L. Morrison of Trinity United Church of which deceased was a member.

    The pallbearers were, Messrs Louis Peterson, S.H. Morton, W.H. Morton, G.E. Gomme, W.A. Metcalfe and John Lindsay.

    Interment was in the Auld Kirk Cemetery.

    Mrs William Coxford
    Almonte June 2 - In poor health for the past year, Mrs William Coxford well known resident of Almonte, passed away at her home here on Saturday.

    Born in Ramsay 80 years ago, the deceased, whose maiden name was Jessie Tosh, was a daughter of the late William Tosh and his wife, Clemintine Syme. She was married to William Coxford 54 years ago and since their marriage had lived in Almonte.

    She was a member of Trinity United church and was a life member of the W.M.S. of the church.

    Surviving in addition to he husband is one sister, Mrs Alex Clark, of Arnprior.

    The funeral was held this afternoon from the Coxford residence on Union street, and interment was made in the Auld Kirk Cemetery.
