    Obituary of Margaret Schmidt
It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Margaret Schmidt. She was born July 23,1943 and departed this life on December 6, 2018. Margaret was the youngest child of Valentine and Ilene Geres, and a sister to Walter and Bill. On August 4, 1962, Margaret married David Schmidt of the Palmer area. Later Margaret and Dave welcomed 3 children to their family, Kory, Kim and Charlene. Margaret lived on the farm north of Palmer with Dave until his passing on February 26, 1993. In the summer of 1995, she moved to Gravelbourg and worked at the Thomson Lake Golf course for a number of years. One of Margaret's great loves besides family was bowling. She was an avid bowler, bowling from the time the lanes opened in Gravelbourg. She was a master bowler and coach over the years. If her knees had not given out on her, she would have been bowling until she became ill. In 2010, Margaret moved to the Meacham area to live with Charlene and her family, where she remained until her health declined, resulting in her stay at the hospital in Saskatoon and later Humboldt, where she was until her passing. Margaret is survived by her children Kory (Cristiano), Kim (Rhonda), Charlene (Darren), her grandchildren Amanda, Derrek, Wyatt, Kercher, Kylan, Leland, great grandson Kyran, and great granddaughter Willow (who had not yet arrived). She is predeceased by her husband David, parents Valentine and Ilene, brothers Walter and Bill, mother and father-in-law Philp and Margaret Schmidt and sister-in-law Elsie. A gathering to celebrate Margaret's life will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2019, 2:00 p.m., at the Gravelbourg Bowling Alley, Gravelbourg, SK. Interment will take place on Monday, May 20, 2019, 11:00 a.m., at the Mossbank Cemetery, Mossbank, SK.
