    Mr Andrew Kirk
    ?/b?The death occurred on Tuesday of Andrew Kirk, a well known and respected citizen of Almonte. Previous to his illness he was employed in the Rosamond Woolen Company for many years. Born in Glasgow Scotland, 56 years ago, he came to Canada when a boy and following a short stay at Lanark, returned to Scotland, later coming to Almonte where he had since resided. His wife, the former Margaret Ann Armstrong of Ramsay, predeceased him in 1935. Surviving is one son Melville, Almonte. The funeral was held this Thursday afternoon from the residence of Mrs Sarah Vastano, to St John's Presbyterian Church, with interment in the Auld Kirk Cemetery. Rev A.J. Fowlie, pastor, officiated. The pallbearers were: Robert Mackie, Westboro; John Ballantyne, Jack Renshaw, Wesley McCann, Jack Kirk and Geo Lowry.

    Andrew married Margaret Annie "Maggie" Armstrong in 1912. Margaret (daughter of William Armstrong and Elizabeth "Eliza" McCann) was born on 26 Nov 1886 in Ramsay Township, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada; died on 30 May 1935 in Almonte, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada; was buried on 2 Jun 1935 in Auld Kirk Cemetery, Ramsay, Mississippi Mills, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada.
