Minerva and Herman were divorced in 1917 in Phillips County, Colorado. Her second husband was George P. Wolfe who she married on 24 Oct 1917 in Furnas County, Nebraska. They were divorced, probably before 1920 and on 29 Sep 1922 she married Amos Edgar Snyder in Furnas County. They were divorced before 1930.

In the 1910 Federal Census he is living at 2003 Arapaho Avenue, Boulder, Boulder County, Colorado. He is listed in the 1911 and 1913 Boulder City Directories, but in 1918, Mary Ann is listed alone, and subsequently in 1921, 1923 and 1925, she's listed as his widow. I have been unable to locate a death record for him. I believe he is buried in Green Mountain next to his wife.

The Green Mountain cemetery has no record of his burial there.

James married Mary Ann Abernathy in 1867. Mary was born in Mar 1846; died on 12 Jan 1927; was buried in Green Mountain Cemetery, Boulder, Boulder County, Colorado, United States. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
