Couple Married In Prescott The Presbytery of St. Mark's Church, Prescott, was the scene of the wedding Saturday of Dorothy Catherine, daughter of Mr. J. P. Whitney and the late Mrs. Whitney to John, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Garland of. Richmond. Rev. Father. J. H. MacDonald officiated. . Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by Mrs. G. P. Wilson as matron-of-honor. Flt.-Lieut. G. P. Wilson was best man. For her wedding the bride wore a floor-length gown of white sheer over taffeta. The fitted bodice featured a sweetheart neckline and the bouffant skirt ended in a slight train. Her finger-tip veil was gathered to a satin cap trimmed with orange blossoms and she carried a colonial bouquet of carnations. Following a reception at the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. A. E. Prophet, the couple left on their wedding trip to Toronto and points west. Travelling. Mrs. Garland wore a turquoise gabardine suit with white accessories and a corsage bouquet of red carnations. On their return Mr. and Mrs. Garland will live at 221 Gilmour Avenue, Ottawa. Ottawa guests at the wedding: included Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Garland, Miss Mary Crainie, Miss Catherine Jarrell, Mr. Stanley Gray, Mrs. H. K. Betts, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Herbert, and Mrs. J. P. McAskln.
