    FRASER, William Barry
    At his late residence on Tuesday, January 18, 1983, WILLIAM BARRY FRASER. Beloved husband of Kathleen McNeely, formerly of Carleton Place; dear father of Shari and Norman and daughter-in-law Ada, all of Kingston; loving son of Mrs Edna Fraser, Kingston; and the late Gordon Fraser. Dear brother of Maurice of St Catharines, and predeceased by Mavis. Rested at the James Reid Funeral Home, Counter Street at Highway 2 Cataraqui with Funeral Service in the Chapel on January 20. Interment Auld Kirk Cemetery, Almonte.

    Gordon Scott Fraser
    The death of Gordon Scott Fraser, well-known Almonte businessman occurred in hospital in Ottawa on Monday, November 16, in his 68th year. Mr Fraser lived in Almonte all his life, and owned and operated the business on Queen street of 37 years ? possibly the oldest in Almonte. He was born in Almonte on September 13, 1903, a son of Gavin Scott Fraser and Cassie Pettigrew, He was married to the former Edna Turner in 1927. He was a former member of Trinity Church and served in the capacity of a church elder and as superintendent of the Sunday School. He was a member of the school board in 1947-48, and was at one time a member of the Almonte Lions Club. Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Barry of Gananoque and Maurice of Welland; a brother, Kenneth of Almonte; a sister, Marjorie, Mrs Joe Hawkins of Carleton Place, and eight grandchildren. He was predeceased by one daughter, Mavis, Mrs Allan Dunfield of Almonte, and a sister, Myrtle, Mrs Sam Christo of Brockville. The funeral was held from the Kerry Funeral Home, Elgin street, on Wednesday afternoon, November 18, with interment at Auld Kirk Cemetery

    Gordon married Edna Turner in 1927. Edna was born in 1900 in Sowerby Bridge, Metropolitan Borough of Calderdale, West Yorkshire, England; died on 27 Sep 1983 in Kingston, Frontenac County, Ontario, Canada; was buried in Auld Kirk Cemetery, Ramsay, Mississippi Mills, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada.
