William John Code was born 6 October 1875 in Drummond, Ontario. His parents were John Code and Jane Sheppard. William married Elizabeth Jane Gamble on 1 September 1909 in Bathurst, Ontario. The couple had 4 children.
William J Code served in the Canadian Armed Forces WI from 1914 to 1920. His service included Canadian Expeditionary Force (C.E.F.) and #3 Detachment R Canadian Army Service Corps (C.A.S.C.). Rank Sergt. and A/QM Sgt.
William died from cancer at the age of 51.
