Carpenter, Charter Member of Shawville Lions Club, he was noted for his dedication to his church and community service, work through the Lions Club. He was greatly loved father of Frances Reid (Bill), Audrey Sharpe (Brent), John (Freda) and Robert (Lau-'reen) . Grampa Dean will be fondly remembered by his 1 1 grandchildren and 4 greatgrandchildren, as well by the children from the Stark's Corners community. Predeceased by 2 brothers, Clarence and Ernest and 2 sisters. Amy and Gladys and 1 granddaughter April. Surviving, his sister Lila and brothers Leslie (Ethel) and Ronald (Mona) and sisters-in-law Marjorie Woodman and Sadie Dean. Friends may call at W.J. Hayes & Sons Funeral Home. Shawville.     Peacefully in Pontiac Community Hospital, Shawville, Quebec, after a brief illness, in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late Lennis Dean. Cherished mother of Frances Reid the late Bill Audrey Sharpe (Brent), John (Freda) and Robert Laureen). Grandma by her life's example gave her 1 1 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren a legacy of courage and strength of purpose. She touched the lives of her many friends and relatives with her energy and perseverence in the face of physical handicaps. Lillian is survived bv brother. Tommy (Louise) and sister-in-law, Eileen. Predeceased by sisters, Aggie, Mary; twin sister, Robina and brothers, Johnnie and Harry. Friends may call at the W. J. Hayes & Sons Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec, on Saturday, September 21, from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Monday at 2 p.m. for service to the Starks Corners United Church. Interment Starks Corners United Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Lillian's family request donations to the Stark's Corners United Church

    It becomes our duty this week to report the death of another of the old residences of Clarendon township - Mr. John Corrigan, at the age of 75 years. Mr. Corrigan passed away Friday afternoon. His funeral, which was very largely attended, took place on Christmas day, directly after service in St. Paul's church.
