    ?/b?Peacefully at the Queensway Carleton Hospital, on Friday, October 3, 2003, at the age of 89. Aleta Jane Dunfield, beloved wife of the late Robert France. Much loved mother of Sandy France and his wife Jane of Ottawa. Loving grandmother of Paul (Stacey), Rob and Shelley McCormick (Marc), all of Ottawa and beloved great-grandmother of Matthew. Survived by her sister-in-law Teresa Millar of Almonte, her cousin Elizabeth Bird of Perth and 11 nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister Laura Wilson and brother Wilfred Dunfield. Friends may call at the Kerry Funeral Home, 154 Elgin Street, Almonte for visiting on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. and on Monday morning from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Service in the Kerry Chapel at 11 a.m. Rev. Barry Goodwin officiating. Interment to follow in Auld Kirk Cemetery, Almonte

    ?b?Mr Alex Dunfield Passes In 94th Year.?/b?
    The death of Martin Alexander Dunfield, of Almonte, occurred at the Almonte General Hospital on Friday, March 5th, 1971. He was predeceased by his wife, Ila Mae Dunfield, in October of last year. Born in Pakenham, Township, he was the son of the late Martin Dunfield, of Ireland, and his late wife, Jane Connery of Cedar Hill. He was the youngest and last surviving member of a family of eleven children. He was a farmer until he moved to Almonte some 40 years ago and followed the carpentry trade until his retirement. He is survived by one son Wilfred E., of Almonte, and two daughters, Laura E. (Mrs Lilburn Wilson) of White Lake an Aleta J. (Mrs Robert France), Almonte, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. The funeral was held from the Comba Funeral Home on Sunday, March 7th, at 2 p.m. Services were conducted by Rev Robert J. McCrea. Entombment in the Auld Kirk Cemetery vault. Pallbearers were Messrs George Dunfield, Cliff Black, Kenneth Jackson, Wilbert Monette, Ivan Bird and the Hon George Gomme.

    Martin married Ila Mae Jackson. Ila was born in Dec 1887 in Toronto, York County, Ontario, Canada; died on 27 Oct 1970 in Almonte, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada; was buried in Auld Kirk Cemetery, Ramsay, Mississippi Mills, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    The death of Ila Mae Dunfield of Almonte occurred at the Almonte General Hospital on Tuesday night, October 27th, following a lengthy illness. She was in her 83rd year. Born in Toronto, she was the daughter of the late George Jackson and his late wife Phoebe Jane Tucker. She had resided in Almonte for the past 40 years and was a member of Almonte United Church. She is survived by her husband Alex Dunfield, one son Wilfred E. of Almonte and two daughters, Laura E. (Mrs Lilburn Wilson) of White Lake and Aleta J. (Mrs Robt France), Almonte; also one brother, Charles A. Jackson of Carleton Place and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. The funeral was held from the Comba Funeral Home with burial at Auld Kirk Cemetery. Services were conducted by Rev Robert McCrea. The pallbearers were Messrs George Dunfield, Cliff Black, Kenneth Jackson, Wilbert Monette, Ivan Bird and Mac Moulton.
