    Notes:

    Died:
First marriage to Elizabeth Spearman was less than 1 year, when she passed away from Typhoid Fever. They had a daughter Elizabeth, who seems to have married a couple of times in New York state. Couple of years later, William would marry Adelaide Sheppard, and she may have moved to Illinois. William's 3rd marriage would be to Margaret Pink in September 1893, three months after the birth of his son Charles (so it's not completely clear if the boy's mother is Adelaide or Margaret). Their marriage would last 11 years, when Margaret passes away from Pernicious anemia at 35 years of age. William would survive another 29 years before being killed by a train, the week before Christmas 1933.
