    FOLKARD - On Monday November 18, 1946, in hospital, Mary Scott, widow of James J. Folkard,, of Almonte, Ontario, in her 75th year. Resting at Fred N. Garrett Funeral home, 594 Somerset West, where service will be held on Tuesday, November 19 at 8 p.m. Interment Auld Kirk cemetery, Almonte, Ontario, on Wednesday, November 20, at 2.30 p.m. Almonte papers please copy.

    Mrs J.J. Folkard
    Mrs Mary Folkard widow of James J. Folkard, died in an Ottawa hospital in her 75th year after an illness of three months. Born and educated at Cedar Hill she was married there in 1893 to James J. Folkard, who predeceased her 18 years ago. Mr Folkard had been section foreman for the CPR at Meath, Ont, for many years. She was a daughter of the late Mr and Mrs James Scott, and went to Ottawa 10 years ago to reside with her son. She is survived by two sons, Howard, of Ottawa, and Allan; a daughter, Mrs C. Casner, of Collingdale, Penn., two brothers, George Scott, of Eaton Rapids, Mich., and Jack, of Port Huron, Mich.; a sister, Mrs George Burgette, of Port Huron, Mich; and six grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday and interment made Wednesday afternoon at 2.30 in the Auld Kirk Cemetery, Almonte.

    Final Tribute Paid Mrs Mary Folkard
    Friends and relatives gathered at the Fred N. Garrett Funeral Home on Tuesday evening to pay impressive tribute to the memory of Mrs Mary Folkard, of 155 Primrose avenue, who died in hospital on Sunday. Rev John A. Waddell conducted the service at 8 o'clock. Burial will be made this afternoon in Auld Kirk cemetery, Almonte, at 2.30 o'clock. Numerous floral offerings and messages of sympathy were received by members of the family. Mrs Folkard is survived by two sons, Howard and Allan Folkard, both of Ottawa, one daughter, Mrs Casner, Collingdale, Penn., two brothers, George Scott, Eaton Rapids, Mich., and Jack Scott, of Port Huron, Mich., six grandchildren. A brother, Samuel Scott died in Toronto, two months ago.

    Mary married James J. Folkard in 1893 in Cedar Hill, Pakenham Township, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada. James (son of James Brown Folkard and Sarah Jordan) was born in Apr 1866 in England; died on 14 Jul 1928 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, United States; was buried in Auld Kirk Cemetery, Ramsay, Mississippi Mills, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada.
