Died:
"Obituary. Died at this residence, in Beckwith, U. C. on the 12th of September, the Reverend Doctor Buchanan, in the 74th year of his age, and 45th of his Ministry. His sufferings previous to his death which were long and painful, he bore with great patience and christian resignation to the will of his heavenly Father. By his death the church has lost an eminent Presbyterian Minister - his wife, an affectionate husband - and his family, an indulgent parent. He was indeed a faithful servant of Christ, and has left a widow and nine children to lament his loss."
