Maria married John Robinson in 1881. John was born in 1840 in Ireland; died on 19 Oct 1910 in Lakefield, Laurentides Region, Quebec, Canada; was buried in Holy Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Lakefield, Laurentides Region, Quebec, Canada. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Died:
It is difficult to read the tombstone inscription showing the year of death. The church record states that he died on the 21st of December 1886 and was buried on the 23rd December 1886. The church record also notes that he was 64 years of age.

The tombstone inscription states that he was 66 years of age when he died. I have calculated the year of birth from the church record mentioned above, and the day and month of birth from census records.

There are considerable errors in the dates engraved on the tombstone for the date of death and age at time of death for his wife Sydney Moore. I suspect that this stone was erected by the children some time after the death of these two parents, and this accounts for the errors.

Thomas married Isabella Maria sydney Moore. Isabella was born on 23 Apr 1830 in Ireland; died on 3 Aug 1899 in Lakefield, Laurentides Region, Quebec, Canada; was buried in 1899 in Holy Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Lakefield, Laurentides Region, Quebec, Canada. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Died:
The tombstone inscription states that she died on June 4, however, the church register states that she died on August 3 1899 and was buried on the 4th of August.

There is also considerable doubt about the accuracy of the age at time of death (45 years) engraved on the tombstone. She and her husband Thomas Evans are recorded on the 1852 Census of Canada, with her age at next birthday (1853) being 23 years, and on the 1871 Census of Canada, with Sydney's age in 1871 given as 42 years. Together, these suggest a birth year of 1830.
