    He was the husband of the late Bertha M. Campbell and father of Norma (Mrs. J.B. Runnels) of Gaithersburg, Maryland.

    Duncan Campbell, former employe of the Public Works Department, and active and life member of the Chuadiere Lodge, A.F. and A.M., died suddenly this morning at his home, 153 Greenfield avenue, in his 83rd year. Mr. Campbell died only 24 hours after his sister, Mrs. Archibald Barrie, who passed away at her home, 113 Waverly street, on Sunday. Mrs. Barrie was in her 85th year.

    Mr. Campbell entered the Public Works Department in 1914 and had been employed there until March of 1932 when he retired. Before entering the civil service, he had worked as a car shop foreman for the Canada Atlantic Railway and later the Grand Trunk Railway. After his marriage in December, 1893, to the former Isabella Fisher, he engaged in farming for two years. He came to Ottawa in 1895 and had lived here since.

    Well known and highly respected in various circles of the Capital, especially among Masonic organizations and the congregation of Knox Presbyterian church of which he was a member for many years, Mr. Campbell's death will occasion profound regret. He was born in Franktown, Ont., the son of the late Archibald Campbell and his wife Sarah Gillies.

    Surviving in addition to his wife, are one son, F. Keith Campbell, Ottawa; one brother, Frank Campbell, Smiths Falls; and one sister, Mrs. Henry Armstrong, Elmsley, Ont. One grandchild also survives.

    The funeral service will be held at the parlors of Hulse and Playfair, Ltd., 315 McLeod street, on Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock. Rev. Dr. Robert Johnston of Knox church will officiate. Interment will be in Elmwood cemetery, Perth.

    Mrs. Duncan Campbell, the former Isabella Fisher, 153 Greenfield avenue, died Wednesday in a local hospital following a brief illness. She was 91.

    Born in Lanark County, Mrs. Fisher was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Fisher. She was educated in Perth. She married Duncan Campbell, who died in 1939, in Perth, and came to Ottawa shortly after her marriage 57 years ago. She attended Knox Presbyterian Church.

    Surviving are: One son F. Keith Campbell, of Ottawa, and one granddaughter, Miss Norma Campbell, also of Ottawa.

    Rev. Colin Miller will conduct the service in the Hulse and Playfalr chapel Saturday morning at 11 o'clock. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery, Perth.
