    Contractor, Dies John Henry Kolb, 66, prominent Winnipeg resident, died Sunday at his home at 314 Woodlawn st. Born in Port Elgin, Ont., Mr. Kolb came to Winnipeg in 1003, and was a builder and contractor until 1918, when he entered the painting and decorating profession. Interested in flowers, he judged flowers and gardens for the Winnipeg Gladiolus society several times, and also for the Manitoba Horticultural society. He was interested in astronomy, and for a number of years was treasurer ot the Royal Astronomical society. Besides his widow, Sophia, he is survived by two daughters, Irene, and Mrs. R. J. Wuckert, of Winnipeg; two sons, Homer H., of Victoria, B.C., and Lloyd N., of Winnipeg; three sisters, Viola, of Toronto; Mrs. H. Kaufman, of St. Catharines, Ont., and Mrs. A. Miles, of Winnipeg: three brothers. Josiah, of Creemore. Ont., and Arthur and Hugh, of Port Elgin; also four grandchildren.
    The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 1.30 at. the Mordue Erothers funeral home, with Rev. J. E. Jones conducting the service. Burial will be In St. James cemetery. Odd Fellows' rites will he conducted at the graveside bv officers and members of the Winnipeg North Star lodge. No. 2. of which Mr. Kolb was a member for many years.
