    ?/b?Mrs. Lillian Bleek, 54, of 213 Ruby st., died In General hospital at 1.10 p.m. Monday, from injuries received when she was struck by an auto at the Intersection of Portage ave. and Lipton st, about 11 pm. Saturday.

    An Inquest will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday, in central police station with Dr. H. M. Speechly, provincial coroner, presiding.

    Mrs. Bleeks was crossing Portage ave. when she apparently slipped and fell In the pathway of an auto driven by Thomas Keeler, of Newman ave. Taken to the hospital, it was found she had sustained a possible fracture of the skull, possible fracture of one or more ribs, cuts, bruises and shock. She died, without regaining consciousness.

    Mrs. Bleeks, who was born at Ashton, Ont., is survived by her husband and two sons, Dr. Cherry Bleeks and Claude Bleeks, both of Winnipeg. She also is survived by three sisters and three brothers: Misses Pearl and Maude Simpson. of Ottawa; Mrs. H. Shelington, of Grayburn. Sask.; Robert Simpson, New Westminster. B.C.: Wllloughby Simpson, Edmonton, Alt.; and J. Simpson, Ottawa.

    The body lies at the A. B Gardiner funeral home pending completion of funeral arrangements.

Simpson, who was well known in the Ottawa district, passed away recently at his home in Smiths Falls, at the age of 89 years, following a short illness which was attributed to a fall. Deceased was born at Ashton, where he resided till 15 years aso, when he retired from farming and took up his residence in Smiths Falls. He was the last of a family of seven sons and five daughters. Surviving are three sons: Willoughby, of Edmonton: Robert of Chilliwark, B.C.; and Joshua of Smiths Falls; and four daughters: Mrs. Robert Shilllngton, Moose Jaw; Mrs. W. J, Bleeks, Winnipeg; and Misses Maude and Pearl Simpson, Smiths Falls. The funeral took place to Munster Union cemetery, the services being conducted by Revs. Ellis and Bradfoid. The pall bearers were Messrs Kidd, Clayton, Ormond and James Simpson, and Milton and Willard Graham. Many floral tributes testified to the esteem in which the deceased was held in the community.Funeral service conducted by the Revs. Ellis and Bradford.
