?/b?Word has been received here of the death in Edmonton, alberta, of Dr. W. J. Simpson. A native of Ashton, Ontario, Dr. Simpson died on Thursday following a long illness.
A graduate in medicine from Queen's University, Dr. Simpson had taught school in Richmond and Munster, Ontario. Following has graduation he moved to Alberta where he practiced. He was married to the former Hattie Hill, who predeceased him several years ago. He is survived by two daughters and a son who reside in the west.
Also surviveing are three sisters, Mrs. C. B. Morton and Mrs. M Archie Atkinson of Ottawa, and Mrs John Fleming of Ashton; three brothers, Fred, of Milton West, Ont., Murray and Lett Simpson, who reside in the West.
William married Esther Isabelle Hill on 10 Jul 1889 in Munster, Goulbourn Township, Carleton County, Ontario, Canada. Esther (daughter of Robert Hill and Esther Ann Brownlee) was born on 12 Aug 1866 in Goulbourn Township, Carleton County, Ontario, Canada; died on 2 Mar 1935 in Millet, Wetaskiwin, Alberta, Canada; was buried on 5 Mar 1935 in Edmonton Municipal Cemetery, Edmonton, Edmonton Census Division, Alberta, Canada.
