    "?b?Bessemer. Mrs. Henry Brydges?/b?, 63, Palms Road, died Monday at noon at the Divine Infant Hospital, where she was admitted about two weeks ago. She had been under doctor's care due to diabetes for several years and had been hospitalized periodically during the time.

    "Mrs. Brydges, the former Florence Becker, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Becker, early pioneers, was born March 13, 1901, in Bessemer. she graduated from high school in 1918, and was subsequently employed by the Board of Education, as secretary to the superintendent until her marriage June 22, 1920, to Henry Brydges. They lived for a time in Puritan before moving to her present home in Palms. He died in 1956.

    "Surviving are two sons, Roy of Beaumont, Tex., and Donald of Kenosha, Wis.; five daughters, Mrs. Orval Prudhomme of Iron River; Mrs. Jack Lyons of Waukegan, Ill.; Mrs. Raymond Sokolowski of White Pine; Mrs. Joseph Madjewski of Bessemer; and Shirley at home. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren, and one sister, and three brothers, including Mrs. Charles Reardon of Ashland, Wis.; Fred Becker of Crosby, Minn.; Erwin Becker of Ironwood; and Paul Becker of Bessemer.

    "Mrs. Brydges are active in Parent-Teacher Associations and other community organizations. She was a member of the St. Sebastian Catholic Church."

    Florence married David Henry Bridges on 22 Jun 1920. David (son of William James Bridges and Amelia Derosia) was born in 1897; died in 1956 in Gogebic County, Michigan, United States; was buried in Hillcrest Cemetery, Bessemer, Gogebic County, Michigan, United States.
