    Edward Moore
    The death occurred at his home of John Street,
    Almonte, of Edward Moore, following a lengthy illness. He
    was in his 91st year.
    Mr Moore was born on the 7th line of Ramsay, son of
    the late William Moore and his wife, Matilda Nicholson. As a
    young man, he moved to Carleton Place where he was
    employed by the Canadian Pacific Railway. Later he moved
    to Sturgeon Falls to take up farming, and returned to
    Almonte in 1947.
    In 1879 he married Agnes Jane Hastie of Carleton
    Place, who died in 1897. Of this union, there were born two
    sons and two daughters.
    At Crystal Falls, he married Martha Marshall of Almonte
    who survives. Also surviving are two sons, William of
    Florida and David of South Lanacaster, Mass; one
    daughter, Sarah, of Vancouver. One daughter, Mary, (Mrs
    Sidney Lawford) died last July. Also surviving is one
    brother, Donald Moore, of Main St, Almonte.
    The funeral took place on Wednesday from his late
    residence, John Street, to the Auld Kirk Cemetery

    Edward married Agnes Jane Hastey in 1879 in Carleton Place, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada.     Plunged in Mourning
    The rider of the pale horse visited two Almonte homes
    this week and robbed each of a devoted wife and mother,
    ? And on Wednesday Agnes Jane Hastey, wife of Mr Edward
    Moore, section foreman on the C.P.R. here, passed away,
    after twelves days' illness from pneumonia. She was 39
    years of age, and leaves four children to suffer the
    irreparable loss of a faithful mother, The late Mrs Moore
    was born in Ireland. Her mother is a resident of Carleton
    Place. Both the deceased woman were members of the
    Baptist congregation here, were well known and esteemed
    in the circles in which they moved, and their untimely
    removal has caused deep sorrow and a full measure of
    sympathy. Mrs Moore's funeral will take place on Friday at 2
    p.m., to the eighth line cemetery.
