Sarah Jane came west in the early 1900's, to the Didsbury district, along with her daughters, Mrs. James (Charlotte) Sheils, Mrs. John (Esther) Topley, Mrs. Mac (Sarah) McLean; and sons, Horatio, Willington, Albert and Gilbert. One daughter, Mrs. McClinton, remained in Ontario.
Sarah died in a wagon accident on the Rosebud Hill, just east of Didsbury in 1906.
