    Goldie was born on February 19, 1892 in Giltner, Nebraska to Elmer and Cora (Houk) Beacom. She was about 8 years old when her father moved the entire family to Whiteson, Oregon.

    On October 16, 1912 she married William John Kidd at Whiteson, Oregon. She resided in the Corning - Paskenta area for the past 26 years. Goldie was a member of the Mystic Star Chapter, No. 279, Order of the Eastern Star, and the Christian Science Church.

    Goldie died at 6:30 pm, Saturday, May 8, 1971 at her Fourth Street home in Corning.
    She is survived by her husband, William John Kidd; a son, Lyle Kidd of Windsor, Arizona; a daughter, Lila Ross of Redding; a brother, L. O. Beacom of Milpitas; two sisters, Iva Massey of McMinnville, Oregon, and Hazel Schiller of Gresham, Oregon; four grandchildren, including Carlene Glenn of Stirling City, and three great-grandchildren.

    Friends are invited to call at Hall Brothers' Chapel from 7 - 9 pm, Monday, May 10th. Funeral services were held at 10 am on Tuesday in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Della Beck of Orland, a Christian Scientist reader, conducted the rites amidst a profusion of floral tributes.

    Burial was in Sunset Hill Cemetery under the direction of Hall Brothers' Mortuary.
