In the early morning hours of April 10, 2010, Kelly Carin passed away at the age of 85 with his daughter Leslie by his side.
Kelly was born just outside North Battleford, Saskatchewan. He was the only son of Ralph and Lotty Carin and lived there with his younger sister Kathleen (Sissy)Bravener until going of to University in Saskatoon at the age of 17. After over 33 years of service, Kelly retired when the Kamloops Petro Canada Refinery closed down in 1983.
Kelly was a very talented sportsman who loved to compete. In his youth, he played hockey and golf. As a young man, he golfed, curled, fished and was an avid game bird hunter but after moving to Kamloops in 1963 turned his focus to golf and curling.

There are few people who have this much success in one sport let alone two. Kelly was certainly an accomplished athelete.
