    Mrs Crow, a daughter of Mr David Wilson, underwent a very serious operation at the R.M. hospital on Wednesday, and though her condition is still most critical, she was progressing quite favourably, and with good prospects for recovery.

    The funeral of Mrs David Wilson well known resident of town, was held Monday afternoon from the residence of her son, William, Queen Street, to the Auld Kirk cemetery. Rev C.D. McLellan of Bethany Church, officiated at the funeral service. The pallbearers were Messrs Adam Lotan, Dr J.F. Dunn, Otto Shane, Edward LeMaistre, John Hourigan and C. Bradshaw. The late Mrs Wilson who has made her home with her son, William, for the past ten years, was ill only a short time and died Saturday morning. Born in Michigan, U.S.A., 75 years ago, she moved to Canada when young, and resided first in Elgin, Ont, then moved to Almonte. She was married many years ago to David Wilson who predeceased her 13 years ago. For a time she lived in Toronto but returned to Almonte some time ago. Her maiden name was Elizabeth Churchill. Of a family of ten, one daughter and five sons survive, Effie of Toronto; George of Winnipeg; Kenneth and Frank of Toronto and William and Elmer at home. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren.

    Another Old Settler at Rest
    In 1820 Mr and Mrs Pollard arrived in Canada from the old country, and settled on the seventh line of Ramsay township shortly afterward. There the same year, was born Mary Pollard, relict of Mr Hugh Wilson, who died at the residence of her son Robert, on Water street, Almonte, last Saturday, aged 77 years, Mrs Wilson married the late Hugh Wilson when she was 22 years old. Mr Wilson died fourteen years ago. Up to the time of the husband's death deceased resided on the homestead, adjoining this town. Twelve children were born to Mr and Mrs Wilson, eleven of whom survive, namely: Mrs Ellen Jane McIntosh, Beckwith; Robert, John (on the homestead) and David, Almonte; Mary (Mrs James McDowell), Winnipeg; Peter, of Verner, Ont; William, of Victoria, B.C.; Sir Thain and Alexander, of Gladstone, Manitoba; Dr Arthur C., of Forsyth, Montana; and George, also in Montana. The late Mrs Wilson went to Winnipeg a year ago to visit her daughter, and while there she had a stroke of paralysis. She came back some months ago, and was residing with her son Robert, in town. Lately she had several more paralytic strokes, which caused her death. The funeral took place on Monday afternoon to the eighth line cemetery, and was a large one. Rev Mr Hutchion conducted the services.

    7. Iratchane Wilson was born in 1855 in Ramsay Township, Lanark County, Canada West; and died.
    8. John Wilson was born in 1857 in Ramsay Township, Lanark County, Canada West; and died.
    9. Arthur Charles Wilson was born in 1859 in Almonte, Lanark County, Canada West; died on 30 May 1929 in Rosebud County, Montana, United States; was buried in Forsyth Cemetery, Forsyth, Rosebud County, Montana, United States.
    10. Alexander Wilson was born in 1860 in Ramsay Township, Lanark County, Canada West; and died.
