    Notes:

    Died:
On Friday, November 01, 2019 (All Saints Day), Edra Marie Campbell, loving wife and mother passed away at the age of 88.

Edra was born in Tomahawk, AB and was proud of her pioneering heritage. Her grandparents, the Browns, homesteaded in Tomahawk in 1905.

Edra married her true love, Winnard Ramsey Campbell of Edmonton and they had four children: Debbie, Winnard, Jean & Donald.

Smithfield was their community where she sat on the Hall Board, School Board and of course the Horse Club.

Edra was well read and an avid reader of Canadian history, enjoying the fascinating stories of human spirit and endurance that built and settled Canada. She loved poetry and could recite endlessly, today her grandchildren and now great-grandchildren are reciting her favorites. In addition, Edra was a good artist with a focus on landscapes. Her paintings could also be found on cottage walls, garbage cans and outhouse doors. Like her mother, Edra was a member of the WI for years. She enjoyed travelling, particularly her coach tours with Win. Their long hot summers were spent at their cottage in Little Manitou Lake, SK. where they built a large circle of friends, spending many Saturday nights at "Danceland" in Watrous, SK.

With a green thumb, she could rescue any plant and always had a large vegetable garden and enjoyed canning. She was fascinated with wildlife and nature, enjoying every little bird and waterfowl, identifying them by their songs and colours. Quilting and sewing were among her hobbies. Alongside Winnard, she was a creative renovator. They also built numerous real rock fireplaces, collecting and placing field stones, including the cairn at the Smithfield Cemetery.

Edra was predeceased her husband Winnard in 1996, and her brothers, Jim & David, older sister Jean and Win's twin brother Donald and wife Doreen.

She leaves her four children and their much loved spouses David, Kate, Michael and Leeanne to treasure her memory. Her 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren, which includes a set of twins and triplets. Her brother Doug, sister Zetta, cousin Alice and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A private funeral service is being held.

    Warm summer sun,
    Shine kindly here,
    Warm southern wind,
    Blow softly here.
    Green sod above,
    Lie light, lie light.
    Good night, dear heart,
    Good night, good night
