    ?b?Obit.--Mrs. D. C. Healy?/b?
Messrs. Michael and James Flynn of Huntley went to Smith's Falls on Wednesday, called thither by the death of their sister, Mrs. D. C. Healy, who passed away on Tuesday forenoon. Up till a week before her death she had been enjoying her usual good health, but on Tuesday night of last week she was smitten with a serious paralytic stroke, and was thrown into unconsciousness from which she never recovered. Her maiden name was Bridget Anne Flynn, a daughter of the late John Flynn of Huntley, and she was 51 years of age. She was married twenty-eight years ago, to Mr. D. C. Healy, who is well known hereabout, and for the past twenty years they have lived in Smith's Falls. Of the deceased, the Smith's Falls Rideau Recorder says: She was a kindly-mannered, warm hearted woman, a true helpmeet to her husband, a firm friend and a good neighbor. Because of these she was loved and esteemed by all who knew her. She was an active and valued worker in St. Francis de Sales church and a prominent member of the Altar Society and the Society of the Sacred Heart. From these societies, from the church, from the community and from the happy home of which she was the centre, she well be greatly missed. Besides her husband she leaves a family of six daughters to mourn her loss, Mrs. Tobin of Moose Jaw, Misses Rose, Edith, Lena, Sadie and Eva at home. The funeral takes place at 2 o'clock this Thursday afternoon in St. Francis de Sales church.

Family/Spouse: Dennis Cullen Healy. Dennis was born on 15 Nov 1854 in Smiths Falls, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada; died on 11 Apr 1921 in Smiths Falls, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada; was buried in Apr 1921 in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery, Numogate, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada. ?b?Obit. - Mr. John Flynn.?/b?
Another of the early settlers in this part of the country, who by thrift and energy had made for himself and family a home, and by integrity and uprightness of character had won the respect of all who knew him, was called away by death on Sunday last, in the person of Mr. John Flynn, of Huntley township. For a good many years he had been in delicate health, but was always able to be around and to attend to light work and by his advice and good judgment help in the conduct of the affairs of the farm. On Friday last he was taken suddenly ill, and on Sunday the end came. The deceased was born in county Limerick, Ireland, in the early twenties, and came to this country in 1847, settling in Ramsay, where he spent several years. In 1856 he moved to Huntley township, where he has since lived. He was married to Elizabeth Kelly, of Huntley, and to them nine children were born, all but one of whom are still living. They are: Mrs. P. O'Keefe (dead); Denis and Thomas, in New York; John, in Michigan; Mrs. D. C. Healy and Mrs. M. Healy, of Smith's Falls; Mrs. Jas. Carter, (wife of Conductor Carter) of Carleton Place; Sarah and James on the homestead, and Michael on the farm adjoining. In politics the late Mr. Flynn was a staunch Liberal, but being of a quiet and retiring disposition he never took any prominent part in public matters. He was a consistent member of St. Michael's Roman Catholic church, to which the funeral (probably the largest ever seen in that section) took place on Sunday [error - Tuesday]. There High Mass was celebrated, the remains being then interred in the adjoining cemetery. The only one of the absent sons who was able to reach home in time for the funeral was Denis, who reached Brockville on Monday evening too late for a train. He at once procured a horse and driver and drove the entire distance, with a change of horses at Smith's Falls, reaching home early on Tuesday morning.

    ?b?Obit. - Mrs. John Flynn.?/b?
On Saturday last Huntley township lost one of its landmarks by the death, after about two years' illness, of Mrs. John Flynn, aged 77 years. Deceased, whose maiden name was Elizabeth Kelly, was born in Co. Carlow, Ireland, and came to this country in 1847. Shortly afterward she married Mr. Flynn (who died some years ago) and settled on the 12th line of Huntley. There were ten of a family - five boys and five girls. The daughters are Mrs. Patrick O'Keefe, deceased; Mrs. Dennis Healy, Mrs. Matthew Healy, of Smith's Falls; Mrs. Thos. Carter, of Carleton Place; and Miss Sarah Ann, who lives at home. The sons are James, on the homestead; Dennis, an engineer with the Standard Oil Co. in New York; Michael, in Huntley; John and Thomas, in the United States. The children were given a good home training, and all have prospered and won a good name for themselves. The late Mrs. Flynn was known far and near for her geniality and hospitality, and the news of her death was received with sorrow by all who knew her. The remains were interred in St. Michael's cemetery, Huntley, on Monday at 9 a.m., the funeral mass having been celebrated in St. Michael's church by Rev. Father Corkery. The cortege was one of the largest ever seen in the township.
