    came as a baby in 1820 to Franktown
    her uncle took part in the battle of Vinegar Hill, and the family verse about the uncle
    "Shot and killed at Vinegar Hill,
    Dead and buried and alive still"
    is included in this book as well as found in the Beckwith Township history.
    Notes that several cousins (her mother's people) and several other cousins named Hawkins were killed at the Wexford Bridge in the June 20, 1798 massacre and their bodies were thrown into the Slaney River.
