    Obituary:?tab?LYNCH, Dorothy Isabel (nee Coyles) Peacefully and surrounded by love, on Wednesday, March 16, 2011, passed away at the age of 82. Predeceased in March 2008 by her loving husband of 62 years, William Colonel Lynch. Dorothy was the devoted mother of Bill (Geri) of Collingwood, Barry of White Lake, Brian of Carleton Place and was predeceased by her only daughter Carole Ann O'Keefe in March 2006. Adoring Granny of Susan Young, Sean Lynch, Barbara Lynch, Steven O'Keefe, Emily Vennor, Jeffrey O'Keefe and Kristen McArthur. Proud great-grandmother of 12 precious great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Noel and Grace Isabel Coyles. Dorothy is survived by her siblings Denzel (Anne) Coyles, Anna (late Albert) Johnston, Jean (Ronnie) Robertson and Kaye (Thomas) Cavanagh. Family and friends may call at the Alan R. Barker Funeral Home, 19 McArthur Ave., Carleton Place on Sunday, March 20, 2011 from 1 to 4 p.m. and on Monday 10 a.m. until time of funeral service in the chapel at 11 a.m. with Father David Andrew officiating.     Daniel Lynch Buried Tuesday
    Last respects were paid Tuesday to the memory of Daniel Lynch, Santiago St., who died suddenly on Sunday at his home. The service was held at 2 o'clock from Fleming Bros Funeral Home to the Anglican Church and conducted by the Rev D.F. Weeger. Interment was in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were: J. McNeely, H Sargeant, W. Leach, N Coyles, J. Majuary and J. McArton. Mr Lynch was born in Ramsay Township, the son of W.J. Lynch and his wife Caroline Manary on August 19, 1889. In 1916 he married the former Laurel Sergeant, who survives. Mr Lynch was employed in construction work and attended the Anglican Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are four sons; W.C. Lynch of Rockliffe; Albert, at home; Donald of Brantford; and Harry of Sudbury; six daughters; Mrs W.A. Edwards (Muriel) of Ottawa; Mrs N. Porter (Laurel) of Hamilton; Mrs A. Guindon (Rae) of Brantford; Mrs C. MacDonald (Betty) of Cornwall; Isobel Lynch, of Carleton Place and Mrs L. Crampton (Dorothy) also of Carleton Place. Also surviving are two brothers, John and Wilfred Lynch of Ramsay, and two sisters, Mrs James McNeely (Margaret) of Arklan Farm and Mrs M. Hollister (Ellen) of Cornwall.

    Daniel married Laurel McDonald Sergeant in 1916. Laurel was born on 22 Apr 1895 in Clarendon Station, Frontenac County, Ontario, Canada; died on 16 Mar 1972 in Perth, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada; was buried in St. James Anglican Cemetery, Carleton Place, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada.     Mrs Lynch Dies 77 Years
    The funeral of Mrs Dan Lynch took place on Saturday, March 18, 1972, from the Fleming Bros Funeral Home, Lake Ave, west, to St James Anglican Church for services at 1.30 p.m., with Rev Canon Bovington of Perth officiating. Entombment was in St James vault. Mrs Lynch, who had resided at 148 Gore St. east, Perth formerly residing in Carleton Place, passed away on March 16, in the G.W.M. Hospital, Perth. She was in her 77th year. Born in Clarendon Station, April 22, 1895, the former Laurel M. Sergeant, she was a daughter of the late Robert Sergeant and his wife, the late Christina Ferguson. She attended St James Anglican Church, Perth and was a member of St James Guild. She was married in Maberly, to Daniel Lynch, who predeceased her in 1953. She is survived by four sons, Colonel and Albert of Carleton Place; Donald of Brantford and Harry of Sudbury; six daughters, Laural (Mrs N. Porter), Windsor; Muriel (Mrs W. Edwards), Hamilton, Rae (Mrs A. Guindon), Brantford, Betty (Mrs L. Gauthier), Sudbury, Dorothy (Mrs I. Crampton), Ottawa and Fern (Mrs C. Gorgoni), Syracuse, N.Y. She was predeceased by a daughter, Eleanor; a sister, Lila (Mrs W. Hannah), Perth. The pallbearers, grandsons of the deceased, were Kenneth, Gary, and Barry Lynch, Ronald and Donald Guindon and Randy DesRosiers.

    WILLIAM J. LYNCH OF RAMSAY
    One of Ramsay township's most highly esteemed farmers, William J. Lynch, died at his farm on the fourth line, last Friday morning. For the past two years Mr Lynch had not enjoyed the beat of health. The late Mr Lynch was born in the township, seventy-one years ago, a son of Daniel Lynch and Jane Giles. Forty-seven years ago he was married to Caroline Manary of Lanark, who survives with three sons, and three daughters, Daniel Lynch, John Albert Lynch and Wilfred Lynch, all of Ramsay, and Margaret, Mrs James McNeely, of Beckwith; Stella, Mrs Ray Bigham of Picton, and Miss Ellan Lynch of Cornwall. Also surviving are one brother, Robert Lynch of Pembroke, and two sisters, Mrs Thomas Byron, Ottawa, and Mrs William Thompson in Ramsay, and some eighteen grandchildren. The funeral took place to St James Church, Carleton Place, on Monday afternoon, the service being conducted by the Rev Mr. Bruce, and was very largely attended. Interment was made in the church cemetery. The pallbearers were Daniel Leach, William Leach, jr., John A McArton, Alex. Munroe, William Thompson of Ramsay, and Welland Byron, Maryland, Que. Many beautiful floral tributes were received.

    William married Caroline Manary in 1887.     MRS. W. J. LYNCH
    There passed away on December 13 one of Ramsay's oldest residents in the person of Carolyn Manary, widow of the late W.J. Lynch. A life-long resident of this locality, she was in her 84th year. Death came suddenly although she suffered a lingering illness. She was the daughter of the late William Manary and his wife, Margaret Whyte. In 1887, she was married to Mr. Lynch who predeceased her 17 years ago. To them were born three sons and three daughters, Daniel, Carleton Place; Margaret Mrs. James McNeely; John, on the homestead; Wilfred, Ramsay; (Stella) Mrs. Ray Bigham, Toronto; (Ellen), Mrs. Melvin Hollister, Cornwall. Two brothers, Izias, Tisdale, Sask., and Edward, of Ramsay. The late Mrs. Lynch was a member of St. James' Anglican Church, Carleton Place. Her funeral was largely attended and Interment was made in the parish cemetery. The pallbearers were five grandsons, Willard, John and Arnold McNeely, Colonel and Albert Lynch and W. A. Edwards, a grandson by marriage, of Hamilton.
