    FLEMING, Doris Former Co-Owner of Fleming Funeral Home, Carleton Place Retired R.N. Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital Peacefully in hospital, Carleton Place, Ontario on Saturday, June 1, 2002 at the age of 92. Doris Elizabeth Ionson, beloved wife of the late Edwin (Ed) Fleming. Predeceaed by her daughter Anne McGinnis. Dear grandmother of Janet and her husband Colin Hulford, Vancouver and great-grandmother of Lucy and Duncan Hulford. Dear mother-in-law of George McGinnis, Kingston. Survived by a brother Bill (Joan) Ionson of Jarvis and by a sister Marion (Burt) Davidson of Scarborough. Predeceased by brothers Bert and Sandy Ionson and by sisters Jean Saunders and Peg Woolley. Friends may call at the Kerry Funeral Home, 61 Lake Avenue West, Carleton Place on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Tuesday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Blair Corcoran officiating. Interment to follow in Dewars Cemetery, Ashton. In memory of Doris, memorial donations to the Carleton Place Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

    Doris married Edwin Samuel Fleming on 6 Jan 1932 in Jarvis, Ontario, Canada. Edwin (son of John Fleming and Catherine Ann "Annie" Simpson) was born on 3 Sep 1905 in Goulbourn Township, Carleton County, Ontario, Canada; died on 11 Sep 1974 in Ottawa, Carleton County, Ontario, Canada; was buried in Dewar Cemetery, Beckwith Township, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada.
