Robert's obituary mentions that he is survived by five sons (Ernest, Alfred, Clinton, George and Erskine) and six daughters: Pearl, Mrs. Mabel Smith, Mrs. H. T. Hill, Ada, Gertrude, and Grace.

    Ottawa Journal - March 28, 1916 - Mrs. R.J. Maxwell
    The death occurred this morning at the family residence, of Mrs. R.J. Maxwell. Deceased was born 54 years ago near Manotick, where she resided all her life until four years ago, when the family moved to Ottawa. She was a member of the W.A. of St. Matthew's church and was universally loved by a large circle of friends.
    Mrs. Maxwell is survived by her husband, five daughters, Misses Pearl, Ada, Mabel, Mildred and Gertrude; five sons, Messrs. Ernest, Erskine, Clinton (now on overseas service), George and Alfred, all of Ottawa; two sisters, Mrs. W.K. Morris of Manotick and Mrs. J. Griffiths of Grand Rapids, Mich., and one brother, Mr. G.R. Bradley of Manotick.
    The funeral will be held on Thursday, at 10 am, to Beechwood cemetery. Rev. Mr. Anderson, of St. Matthew's church, will conduct the service.
