Grandmother of Timothy and Paul. Feb. 9 The funeral of William James Simpson, life-long resident of Goulburn. took place from his late home on the 7th lines Tuesday , afternoon and was largely attended. Rev. T. A. Woods of the United church. Ashton. conducted the services
The pall-bearers were Harry I McArton, William Anderson. Roy Fee. Hubert Fee, all nephews; Eric Simpson and Stewart Lewis, sons-in-law. Numerous beautiful floral tributes were received and many friends from Carleton Place and the surrounding districts were in attendance.
The late Mr. Simpson, who passed away on Sunday, was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Simpson and was born in Goulburn on the farm where he passed away.
He was married in Ramsay to Miss Sarah Greig who survives, with one son, Cecil, at home: also two daughters. Mrs. Stewart Lewis, and Mrs. Norman McRae, both of Beckwith. Two sisters. Mrs. James McArton. of Huntley. and Mrs. Robert Anderson, of Goulburn, also survive.

William married Sarah Jane Greig on 15 Jan 1896 in Ramsay Township, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada. Sarah (daughter of John Fairburn Greig and Sarah Thompson) was born on 6 Jan 1870 in Ramsay Township, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada; died in 1944 in Beckwith Township, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada; was buried in 1944 in Dewar Cemetery, Beckwith Township, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada.
