Mrs George Bond
The death occurred at her home on Malcolm Street, Almonte, on Saturday, January 23rd, of Mrs George Bond, in her 80th year. She was born in Renfrew County in 1873, a daughter of the late Alexander Whyte and his wife Christina McLellan, who lived at White Lake and later moved to Almonte. Her husband the late George Bond, who was master mechanic for the Gillies Lumber Co., predeceased her. One son died in infancy and she is survived by Mrs Alex Tosh (Chrissie), Almonte; Mrs Cephas Tosh (Florence), Almonte; Mrs Albert Rose (Alberna), Sarnia; Mrs Thos Proctor Jr. (Georgina), Mrs Harry Nontell (Ruby), Mrs Russell Dodds (Pearl), Mrs Harvey Goodfellow (Katherine), all of Almonte; Mrs Harry Kuehl (Pansy), Waterloo. Deceased was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Arnprior, when she lived there, and Rev B. Owen of that church conducted the services which were held at the Comba Funeral Home on Tuesday, Jan 26th, and later at the Auld Kirk Cemetery. Rev Arthur Hirtle of the Almonte Baptist Church assisted.
