    DUNLOP, W. Robert "Bob"
    In hospital, Perth on Thursday March 13th, 2003 W. Robert "Bob" Dunlop. Bob served for 24 years with the R.C.M.P. and 17 years with the Bank of Canada. He was the son of the late Percy and Anna (Armstrong) Dunlop. Beloved husband of Joan (Purdon-vandenBosch) Dunlop; loved father of Debbie Hyland of Edmonton, Anne (John) Colucci of Barrie; grandfather of Julie and Thomas Hyland and Amy and Laura Colucci; stepfather of David (Janet) vandenBosch of St. John's Newfoundland, Rob (Sarah) vandenBosch of Frankville, David (Regina) Johnson of Franktown; brother of late Helene Kenny. Bob will be sadly missed by his brother-in-law Clayton Kenny of Carleton Place, Marth Purdon and Jean and Wayne Sabourin, his family and good friends. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Perth, Friday March 14th, 2003 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel Saturday at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be held in the spring in Auld Kirk Cemetery, Almonte. In remembrance, contributions to the Foundation of the Great War Memorial Hospital, Perth or the Lung Association would be appreciated. Bob faced his illness with courage and dignity, he was an inspiration to all who knew him. "When a loved one becomes a memory, a memory becomes a treasure. Treasure the memories."

    Obituary Mrs Anna K.E. Dunlop
    Mrs Anna K.E. Dunlop, 119 Town Line E., Carleton Place died suddenly in the Carleton Place Hospital, Sunday, December 13, 1981. She was born in Perth, Ontario, February 4, 1905 to the late W.A. Armstrong and Caroline Hands Armstrong. She married Percy Dunlop on December 24, 1927 in Perth, Ontario and resided in Ottawa for six years. Mrs Dunlop resided at the above address in Carleton Place where she was a beloved member of the community and a member of St James Anglican Church. Mrs Dunlop is survived by her husband Percy Dunlop, her daughter Helene Kenny and a son Bob Dunlop, both of Ottawa, grandchildren Jamie, John and Bill Kenny, Debbie and Anne Dunlop, and a sister Mrs Ethel Sharpe, Toronto. Predeceased by brothers Fred, Tom and Bill and a sister Carrie Stedman. Reverend Southcott officiated at the funeral service held in the chapel of Barker's Funeral Home, Carleton Place on December 15, 1981 at 2 p.m. Interment was in Auld Kirk Cemetery, Almonte. Pallbearers were Jamie, John and Bill Kenny, Arthur Stedman, Bill Nichols and P.E. FitzGerald.

    A.C. Dunlop Laid to Rest On Sunday Afternoon
    The funeral of Adam Chambers Dunlop took place on Sunday afternoon from the Fleming Bros Funeral Home, Lake avenue west, where services was conducted by Rev Fred Williams. Interment was made at Auld Kirk Cemetery. A well-known resident of the Carleton Place district, Mr Dunlop died at the home of his son, Percy Dunlop on September 8. He was in his 98th year. Born at Carleton Place December 11, 1857, he was the son of the late James Dunlop and his wife, Ann Chambers. He was married on March 23, 1891, to the former Matilda Kellough who died December 14, 1938. Mr Dunlop developed a considerable reputation as a fine boat builder and fashioned many of the boats and canoes even now in use on the Mississippi. He was also a millwright for hydro at one time. He farmed in Ramsay township on the original Dunlop homestead from 1901 to 1914. Interested in sports, horse racing was a hobby and he attended his last race here in 1952. Survivors include a son, Percy and daughter, Louise at home, and Mrs Des (Mary) Smythe of Ottawa; also six grandchildren. Another son, George Edger, died in Detroit in 1951. The pallbearers were Sylvester Moir, Howard Halpenny, Thorold Sutherland, Arthur Dunlop, Clayton Kenny and Robert Dunlop.

    Adam married Matilda Rae Kellough on 23 Mar 1891. Matilda (daughter of John Kellough and Eliza) was born in 1862 in Ramsay Township, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada; died on 14 Dec 1938 in Carleton Place, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada; was buried in Auld Kirk Cemetery, Ramsay, Mississippi Mills, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada.     Mrs A.C. Dunlop
    The death occurred last Wednesday afternoon at her home on the town line of Mrs Dunlop, beloved wife of Mr Adam C. Dunlop, after a month's illness. The deceased was born in Ramsay, her maiden name Matilda Rae Kellough, a daughter of the late John Kellough. She was married to Mr Dunlop 47 years ago and their home had been in Carleton Place ever since. Besides her husband Mrs Dunlop is survived by two sons George of Detroit, and Percy of Carleton Place, and two daughters, Mrs Desmond Smythe of Ottawa and Miss Louise at home. Deceased was a member of Memorial Park United Church, where she took a keen interest in the work of the Women's organizations, and her minister, Rev D.C. Munro, conducted the services at her funeral, which took place on Friday afternoon last to the Auld Kirk cemetery, on the 8th line, Ramsay. A very large number of flowers were received, silent tributes of respect and sympathy.
