    Loving husband of Doreen for 60 years this November. Dear father of Steven (Karen), Debbie (Douglas Wark), Karen (Brent Saunders), Darlene (Brent Munro), Randy, Wendy (Ted Hurdis) and Cindy (Claude Viau). Proud grandfather of 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Survived by his sister Mary Munro (Daniel-deceased).

    Predeceased by her husband Walter of 60 years. Dear mother of Steven (Karen), Debbie (Douglas Wark), Karen (Brent Saunders), Darlene (Brent Munro), Randy, Wendy (Ted Hurdis) and Cindy (Claude Viau). Proud grandmother of 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Survived by her sister Rita Wark (Ivan-deceased). Predeceased by her brother Earl Kemp (Sylvia-surviving), and sisters Irene (Bill Donaldson), June (Tom Steele), and Helen (Eddie Lunn).

    EDWIN L. MORE - The death of Edwin Lorne More occurred at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Daniel W Munro on Sun., Jan. 17, 1965, in his 74th year after a lengthy illness. The late Mr. More was of a kindly nature and generous disposition. Born in Ramsay Township on June 17, 1891 he was the son of the late William R. More and his wife, Minnie Julia Toop. He helped his father farm until he bought his own farm in the spring of 1928, which he farmed until he sold it in 1948. He then worked in Appleton Mill for a time. Mr. More was married to the late Mina Richards on Sept. 14, 1927 in St. George's Church, at Clayton by Rev. C. L. G. Bruce. His wife predeceased him on November 13th, 1930. He leaves to mourn one daughter, Mary Mina, (Mrs. Daniel W. Munro), Ramsay and one son, Walter Edwin of Carleton Place; also ten grandchildren; two sisters, Edith, (Mrs. Root), San Francisco, Calif.; Ethel (Mrs. P. J. De Rouchie), Meadville, Pa.; and one brother, William Walter James, Wood River, Ill. Predeceased are Alfred L., Welland, Cecil E., Minnie and Ida, the late Mrs. Frank Guerard. The funeral was held from the Comba Funeral Home on Wed., Jan. 20th at 2 p.m. The Rev. D. Leslie Elder of Almonte Presbyterian Church conducted the service and interment was in the Auld Kirk Cemetery vault. The pallbearers were Messrs; Andrew More, Fred Toop, Welland Timmons, Welland McKay, Wilbert McEwen and John Waddell. The flower bearers were hisfour grandsons, Steven and Randy More, Brian and Paul Munro. Many beautiful floral tributes were received, also contributions to the Ontario Heart Foundation Fund.

    Mrs. Edwin Moore
    On Thursday, November 13, there passed away at the Rosamond Memorial Hospital, Mrs. Edwin L. Moore, whose maiden was Mina Richards, under circumstances which has appealed to the wide sympathy of the community. The late Mrs. Moore was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Richards of Clayton, and was married in September l4th, 1927. For the past two years Mr. and Mrs. Moore have very successfully engaged in farming on the 6th line of Ramsay, where they by their kindly disposition and industry have well for themselves the confidence, and respect of a wide circle of friends and neighbours. The sudden death of the deceased following a week's illness is particularly sad, leaving to mourn her loss two beautiful children, a boy and girl, Mina Mary, age 2 years and Walter Edwin, age three months. Following a successful operation In the Rosamond Memorial Hospital, every hope was entertained for the speedy recovery but the decease suddenly succumbed to an attack of pneumonia on Thursday afternoon. Of her own immediate family there is left to mourn her loss her father, Mr. Harry Richards, of Clayton, one brother, Charles, of New York State, her mother having pre-deceased her some years, ago. The funeral which was held on Saturday, Nov. 15th, was largely attended. Rev. A. J. Fowlie of the Presbyterian Church conducted a very impressive service at the home. Interment was made in the Auld Kirk Cemetery. The many beautiful floral tributes were mute testimony of the respect in which the deceased was held and included, Wreaths and sprays from the family, Edwin Moore, Harry Richards, Mary and Walter Moore, Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Patterson, Miss Muriel Rath, Mr. and Mrs. John McMunn, Mr. and Mrs. J. Erskine, Mr. and Mrs. Max Richards, Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Shane, Mr. and Mrs. Win. Moore, Mr. William Moore Jr., and Mr. and Mrs. Fraser McMunn. The pallbearers were Messrs. Cecil and William Moore, Mr. Welland McMunn, Mr. Welland Timmons, Mr. Max Richards and Mr. Arthur Nolan. The heartfelt sympathy of the entire community is extended to the husband and children in their deep sorrow occasioned by such a loss.

    William R. More Dies in Ramsay Township
    ALMONTE, Ont., May 16 - (Special) - William R. More, noted horse-breeder and widely known agriculturist, died on Sunday at the home of his son, Edwin More, of Ramsay township. Mr More was in his 77th year and had been in ill-health for the past 10 months. A son of the late Mr and Mrs James More, Scotch settlers of this district, Mr More made his home on the 7th line of Ramsay and specialized in Clydesdale breeding stock. His home was the meeting place of many horsemen. Surviving are his wife, the former Minnie Toop, of Almonte, whom he married 54 years ago; three daughters, Mrs M. Root, California; Mrs F. Girouard, Ottawa, and Mrs Peter Derouchie, Rochester, N.Y.; four sons, Alfred Carberry, Manitoba; William, Alton, Iowa, and Edwin and Cecil, of Ramsay township. The funeral will be held on Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock from his late residence to Auld Kirk cemetery

    Mrs W.R. More
    The death occurred on Monday, Jan 16th, of Minnie Julia Toop, widow of the late W.R. More, at the homestead on the 7th line of Ramsay, at the age of 86. Born at Wiltshire, England, in 1864, a daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Frederick Sidney Toop, she came to Canada with her parents at the age of eight and lived at Cornwall later coming to Almonte. She was married in April, 1883 to the late W.R. More and they resided in Ramsay Township. She leaves four sons and three daughters, Alfred of Carberry, Man.; William of Wood River, Ill.; Edwin and Cecil of Ramsay; Edith, Mrs Root of San Fransciso, Calif.; Ida, Mrs Frank Guerard, Carleton Place; Ethel, Mrs Percy DeRouchie, Meadville, P.A. Three brothers, W.A. Toop, Almonte; Gordon, Carleton Place and Percy, of Edmonton. One son, Welland, and one daughter, Minnie, predeceased her. Among the beautiful floral tributes were wreaths and sprays from the family, Shell Oil Co., Alton, Ill; Light Oil Dept., Alton Ill. The pall-bearers were Welland and Harvey Timmins, Walter More, James McKay, Wilbert McEwen and Harold Miller. Rev T. DeCourcy Rayner conducted the funeral service which was held at the home of her son, Cecil, on Wed., Jan 18th, at 3 p.m. to the Auld Kirk vault for interment in the family plot in the spring
