    Keays-The death occurred at her home on Wilson Street, West on Sunday morning, the 7th. last, of Mrs William G. Keays at the advanced age of seventy-eight years. She was born in Dalhousie Township and had lived in Perth for a number of years. Her maiden name was Mary Avery, a daughter of the late alexander Avery. She was twice married, her first husband being Robert McCulloch of Dalhousie, who predeceased her by 32 years. Mrs McCulloch was a school teacher years ago, and following her marriage to Mr Keays, she lived in Bathurst at the ninth line but for about 15 years she has lived in Perth. Four daughters survive: Eleanor, Mrs Peter J. McArton, North Dakota; Mrs Robert Sargeant, Maberly; Ida, Mrs James Whyte and Minnie, Mrs William Whyte, both of Watson's Corners. Two sons, Alexander and Robert McCulloch, predeceased their mother. There are two brothers, Joseph Avery, Rollo, North Dakota and James Avery at Bright Side. The funeral took place on April 9th. from the late residence on Wilson Street to the vault at Elmwood cemetery. Interment to be Highland Line cemetery. Rev. M. C. Mackinnon of St. Paul's United church officiated. The pallbearers were two sons-in-law, James and william Whyte and four grandsons, Lester Whyte, John Whyte, Lawson Whyte and Bert Sargeant. Among relatives from a distance were: Mrs Harold Crain of Lonsdale,and Mrs Stuart Acheson of Portland, Granddaughters. There are 28 grandchildren living and 31 great-grandchildren living. Mrs Keays was a Presbyterian in religion, but on account of ill health had been unable to take an active part in the affairs of the church for some years.
