    Peacefully in hospital at Perth shortly after midnight on Sunday morning, February 3rd, 2008. Allan Dunfield of Perth (formerly of Arnprior) at the age of 76 years. Dear son of the late Wilfred Dunfield and the late Lois Symington. Beloved husband and best friend of Alice (Nee Savard). Loved stepfather of Jody Ann Larmon and her husband Jim of Perth. Treasured "Pa" of Lauren. Dearly loved brother of Joan Burtt (late Bob) of Edmonton, Alberta. Friends may join us for visitation at the Pilon Family Funeral Home & Chapel, 50 John Street North, Arnprior on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. only. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. John Chrysostom Church, 295 Albert Street, Arnprior on Thursday morning, February 7th at 10:30 a.m. Interment Malloch Road Cemetery.

    The death of Martin Alexander Dunfield, of Almonte, occurred at the Almonte General Hospital on Friday, March 5th, 1971. He was predeceased by his wife, Ila Mae Dunfield, in October of last year. Born in Pakenham, Township, he was the son of the late Martin Dunfield, of Ireland, and his late wife, Jane Connery of Cedar Hill. He was the youngest and last surviving member of a family of eleven children. He was a farmer until he moved to Almonte some 40 years ago and followed the carpentry trade until his retirement. He is survived by one son Wilfred E., of Almonte, and two daughters, Laura E. (Mrs Lilburn Wilson) of White Lake an Aleta J. (Mrs Robert France), Almonte, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. The funeral was held from the Comba Funeral Home on Sunday, March 7th, at 2 p.m. Services were conducted by Rev Robert J. McCrea. Entombment in the Auld Kirk Cemetery vault. Pallbearers were Messrs George Dunfield, Cliff Black, Kenneth Jackson, Wilbert Monette, Ivan Bird and the Hon George Gomme.

    The death of Ila Mae Dunfield of Almonte occurred at the Almonte General Hospital on Tuesday night, October 27th, following a lengthy illness. She was in her 83rd year. Born in Toronto, she was the daughter of the late George Jackson and his late wife Phoebe Jane Tucker. She had resided in Almonte for the past 40 years and was a member of Almonte United Church. She is survived by her husband Alex Dunfield, one son Wilfred E. of Almonte and two daughters, Laura E. (Mrs Lilburn Wilson) of White Lake and Aleta J. (Mrs Robt France), Almonte; also one brother, Charles A. Jackson of Carleton Place and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.     The death of Mr James Ernest (Ernie) Symington of Almonte occurred at the Almonte Nursing Home on Saturday evening, December 16, 1978. He was in his 96th year. Mr Symington was a retired farmer on the 12th line of Ramsay. He was a member of Almonte United Church. Born in Ramsay township, on August 31, 1883, he was a son of the late Joseph Henry Symington and his wife, Mary Jane Brydges. He was married at Almonte on March 10, 1909, to Olive Christine Nontell, who predeceased him. Mr Symington is survived by two daughters, Mrs Wilfred Dunfield (Lois) and Mrs James P. McGregor (Vera), both of Almonte, and a brother Austin Symington of Almonte. He was predeceased by one brother, Joseph H. Symington. The funeral was held from the Gamble & Comba Funeral home, 12 Church Street, Almonte, at 2 p.m. on December 19, Rev Robert McCrea officiating. Interment was at Auld Kirk Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ross Craig, George Thompson, Roy Thompson, Robert H. Brydges, Charles Symington and Allan Dunfield.

    Mrs Ernest Symington died in Rosamond Memorial Hospital, Almonte, in her 67th year. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, a daughter of the late Isaac Nontell and his wife Hattie Kennedy, she came to Ramsay township with her parents while she was quite young and received her education in the Almonte Public and High Schools. Forty-eight years ago she married Ernest Symington in Almonte and they lived in Ramsay township on the outskirts of Almonte. She was a member of the Almonte United Church. Surviving besides her husband are two daughters, Lois (Mrs Wilfred Dunfield) of Almonte, and Vera (Mrs James P. McGregor), Ramsay township. Two sisters also survive, namely Pearl (Mrs Everd Lee), Almonte, and Iva (Mrs Charles McMullan) of Ottawa. Rev J. Ray Anderson, pastor of the Almonte United Church, conducted the funeral service which was held from the Kerry-Scott Funeral Home, Almonte. Interment was in the Auld Kirk cemetery, Almonte
