    ?b?A Sudden Call - Robert McIntosh?/b?
Very great sympathy is felt for the widow and young family of Mr Robert McIntosh, who died last Friday after an illness of only a day or two. He had been troubled with what was supposed to be only an aching tooth and a sore throat. The latter developed into a severe attack of quinsy and he left his work on Tuesday, and was confined to the house. On Friday, however, he had so far recovered that his complete convalescence was thought to be only a matter of a few days. But on Friday night he took worse, the severe suffering he had endured having reduced his strength so much that heart failure resulted, and death came on Saturday forenoon. The funeral took place on Sunday afternoon at 3:30. and was largely attended. The funeral were conducted by Rev A.E. Mitchell, pastor of St John's church, of which the deceased was a member. The late Mr McIntosh was a very quiet and inoffensive man, and was highly respected by all who knew him. He was a native of the north of Ireland, but had lived for many years in Almonte. He leaves behind him, besides a widow (who is a daughter of Mr James McCann, of Ramsay), and several small children, two brothers ? Mr John McIntosh, of Perth, and Mr Alex McIntosh, of Renfrew, both of whom were present at the funeral.
