Grandmother Alberta Moffatt's family purchased the family farm in 1793, so that is a very long time ago. Generations of family were buried in the church cemetery. The farm owner family name changed over time as my great great grandfather has no make heirs so left the farm to a nephew who he was very fond of, hence the Smith family name on the farm when my grandmother and her siblings were raised there.
