Mrs. Archibald Barrie Passes On at Age of 81

Margaret Campbell, widow of Archibald Barrie and a prominent member of Knox Presbyterian church, passed away at her home, 113 Waverley street, on Sunday. She was 84 years of age.

Mrs. Barrie was born at Franktown, Ont., the daughter of Archibald Campbell and his wife Sarah Gillies, and had been a resident of Ottawa for the past 40 years. Her husband predeceased her nearly 5O years ago, at Perth, Ont.

Survivors include one son, T. C. Barrie of Charles Ogilvy, Ltd.; another son, George, was killed in France in 1918; one daughter, Mrs. John Samuels of Ottawa; one brother, Frank Campbell of Smiths Falls, and one sister, Mrs. H. Armstrong of Smiths Falls.

The funeral service was held at the parlors of Hulse and Playfair, Limited, 315 McLeod street, this afternoon. Very Rev. Robert Johnston of Knox Presbyterian Church officiated. Interment took place in Beechwood cemetery.
