    ?b?A Ramsay Pioneer's Death?/b?
Ramsay township lost one of its pioneers last Saturday by the death of Mr William More, at the age of 73 years. Deceased had been ill more or less for a year or so, and the last six months was confined to the house most of the time and suffered greatly from a disease of the stomach. for over three weeks prior to his death he did not take a particle of nourishment except water. Born in Ramsay, he lived in that township all his life, and, being thrifty and industrious, he was able to accumulate sufficient of this world's goods to give each of his six sons a comfortable farm and home. He leaves a widow (nee Catherine Nicholson) and the following children: Mrs Edge, Ottawa; Mrs Ledgerwood, in the U.S.; Misses Annie and Kate, on the homestead; John, in Russell township; Edward, of Killaloe; Donald, George, Charles and James, of Ramsay. Three children are dead. The late Mr More was somewhat eccentric in manner, but has a genial streak in his nature that won him not a few friends. The funeral took place on Monday afternoon to the eighth line cemetery, and was largely attended. Rev Mr Hutcheon officiated.
