Peacefully, at the Smiths Falls District Hospital, on Friday May 1, 2009, in her 105th year. Dear daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James McEwen of Carleton Place (Beckwith Twp.). Beloved wife of the late Kenneth F. Campbell. She is predeceased by her sisters, Jean Fallis, Bessie Bates and by her brother Clarence McEwen. Also very sadly missed by her several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Lannin Funeral Home, Smiths Falls from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM on Sunday. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday, May 4, 2009 at 11:00 AM. Interment Hillcrest Cemetery.

At a quiet wedding ceremony performed Saturday afternoon tn Stewarton United Church. Miss Mary Iabel McEwen. daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James McEwen of Carleton Place, became the bride of Kenneth Franklin Campbell, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. F. Campbell of Smiths Falls.
Rev. Dr. F. S. Milliken officlated at the ceremony,
The bride was attended by her sister. Mrs. Emerson Fallis Leslie C. Bryenton was best man.
For her marriage the brlde wore a grey tailored suit wlth matching accessories. Her corsage bouquet was of pink sweetheart roses and white hyacinths.
Following the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Campbell left on a motor trip. On their return they will take up residence in Smiths Falls.
