Dear brother to Ken McNeely (Judy), Deb Donoghue (Ken). Loving father to Eric McNeely, Julie Day (Stephen), Janet Cole (Tom), Suzanne Ford (Jamie), and Christine Sauve (Gord). Edna had a wonderful life filled with love and many good times. She died peacefully at the Almonte General Hospital with her family by her side. Edna was predeceased by her husband John (1986) and was the daughter of the late Jack (1961) and Annie (1978) Lowe. She was a loving mother of Ken (Judy), Keith (2016), and Deb (Ken 2017) Donoghue. She was a proud grandmother to 9 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren. Edna was the last of 9 children in her family; Elva and Eric Munro, Jean and Dalton Jelly, Roy and Isabel Lowe, Earl and Kay Lowe, Gladys and Russell Manchester, Doris and Alfred Axford, Hilda Lowe; and Elsie and Murray Campbell. Edna was also predeceased by her very good friend Don Carruthers (2020) and is survived by sister-in-law Wanda (Arnie) McNeely. Edna was happy to have a god-daughter, Valerie Argue. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Alan R. Barker Funeral Home, 19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from 11 am until time of service in the chapel at 1 p.m. Inurnment to follow at Dewar Cemetery.
A heartful thank you to all the staff at the Almonte Country Haven for their loving care she received. A special thank you to the Emergency Department and the staff of the Almonte General Hospital 2nd floor. In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Dewar and Kennedy Cemetery would be appreciated.

JAMES McNEELY
James McNeely, formerly of the Arklan Farm, 12th Concession, Beckwith Township, died in Carleton Place and District Memorial Hospital, Friday February 8, 1980 in his 90th year. Mr McNeely was a son of the late Bryce McNeely and his wife, Sara Jane Gillan. He farmed at the Arklan Farm at the end of the Lake Avenue East, until he retired in 1968 and moved into Carleton Place. He is survived by his wife, the former Elizabeth Pearl Ramsbottom Munro. he was predeceased by his first wife, the late Margaret Lynch. As well as his wife, Mr McNeely is survived by sons and daughters, John McNeely, Ashton; Edith (Mrs William Simpson), Jean (Mrs Horace Coleman), both of Ottawa; Arnold, Dorothy (Mrs Ray Kennedy), both of Carleton Place; Verna (Mrs Jack Yeaman), Montreal and Faye (Mrs Robert Service), Smiths Falls. He is also survived by stepsons, Keith Munro, Sudbury and Willingdon Munro, Ottawa. he was predeceased by one son, Willard. Mr McNeely is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. The funeral service took place in the Kerry Funeral Home, 61 Lake Avenue, Carleton Place Monday February 11, 1980 with Rev Harry Brown officiating at 2 p.m. Interment in St James Cemetery. Pallbearers were four grandsons, Jim McNeely, Tim Kennedy, Keith McNeely and Arnie Simpson and two neighbours, Howard McNeely and Jack Hawkins.

James married Margaret Edith Lynch in 1914. Margaret (daughter of William John Lynch and Caroline Manary) was born on 10 Jul 1892 in Ramsay Township, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada; died on 29 Apr 1958 in Carleton Place, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada; was buried in St. James Anglican Cemetery, Carleton Place, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada. Brice McNeely Passes In 94th Year
A resident of this district for nearly 94 years, Brice McNeely, died last Friday, following a lengthy illness. He was in his 94th year. Born in the Township of Beckwith, he was the son of the late James McNeely and his wife, Margaret Edwards. In 1889, he married the former Sarah Jane Gillan in Pakenham. His wife predeceased him 12 years ago. In his younger days Mr McNeely operated a dairy in Carleton Place and took up farming in Beckwith Township. He attended St James' Anglican Church ans was a member of the Orange Lodge and the Black Receptory. Surviving are three sons, Jim, of Beckwith; Frank of Carleton Place; Arthur on the homestead; one daughter, Mrs John (Mildred) Lynch of Ramsay and one sister, Mrs Elizabeth Ramsbottom of Conn., Ontario. Another son Brice, died in 1945. The funeral service was held on Sunday at 1.30 p.m. from the Fleming Bros Funeral Home to St James' Anglican Church with the Rev D.F. Weegar officiating. Interment was in Pine Grove cemetery. The pallbearers were: W.E. McNeely, George H. Doucett, Weland Gillan, Howard McNeely, John McNeely and Williard McNeely.

Brice married Sarah Jane Gillan in 1889. Sarah was born on 11 Nov 1860 in Fitzroy Township, Carleton County, Ontario, Canada; died on 12 Sep 1941 in Carleton Place, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada; was buried in United Cemeteries, Beckwith Township, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada. WILLIAM J. LYNCH OF RAMSAY
One of Ramsay township's most highly esteemed farmers, William J. Lynch, died at his farm on the fourth line, last Friday morning. For the past two years Mr Lynch had not enjoyed the beat of health. The late Mr Lynch was born in the township, seventy-one years ago, a son of Daniel Lynch and Jane Giles. Forty-seven years ago he was married to Caroline Manary of Lanark, who survives with three sons, and three daughters, Daniel Lynch, John Albert Lynch and Wilfred Lynch, all of Ramsay, and Margaret, Mrs James McNeely, of Beckwith; Stella, Mrs Ray Bigham of Picton, and Miss Ellan Lynch of Cornwall. Also surviving are one brother, Robert Lynch of Pembroke, and two sisters, Mrs Thomas Byron, Ottawa, and Mrs William Thompson in Ramsay, and some eighteen grandchildren. The funeral took place to St James Church, Carleton Place, on Monday afternoon, the service being conducted by the Rev Mr. Bruce, and was very largely attended. Interment was made in the church cemetery. The pallbearers were Daniel Leach, William Leach, jr., John A McArton, Alex. Munroe, William Thompson of Ramsay, and Welland Byron, Maryland, Que. Many beautiful floral tributes were received.

William married Caroline Manary in 1887. Caroline (daughter of William Manary and Margaret White) was born on 13 Oct 1867 in Darling Township, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada; died on 13 Dec 1950 in Ramsay Township, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada; was buried in St. James Anglican Cemetery, Carleton Place, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada. MRS. W. J. LYNCH
There passed away on December 13 one of Ramsay's oldest residents in the person of Carolyn Manary, widow of the late W.J. Lynch. A life-long resident of this locality, she was in her 84th year. Death came suddenly although she suffered a lingering illness. She was the daughter of the late William Manary and his wife, Margaret Whyte. In 1887, she was married to Mr. Lynch who predeceased her 17 years ago. To them were born three sons and three daughters, Daniel, Carleton Place; Margaret Mrs. James McNeely; John, on the homestead; Wilfred, Ramsay; (Stella) Mrs. Ray Bigham, Toronto; (Ellen), Mrs. Melvin Hollister, Cornwall. Two brothers, Izias, Tisdale, Sask., and Edward, of Ramsay. The late Mrs. Lynch was a member of St. James' Anglican Church, Carleton Place. Her funeral was largely attended and Interment was made in the parish cemetery. The pallbearers were five grandsons, Willard, John and Arnold McNeely, Colonel and Albert Lynch and W. A. Edwards, a grandson by marriage, of Hamilton.
