    He was married twice:
    (1) Ida Eleanor McMahon (Nov.2,1863-
    May 6,1936) on June 3,1902 in Berlin
    (Kitchener), Ontario, daughter of Richard
    McMahon and Diana DeKay. She was the
    second librarian at the Berlin/Kitchener
    Public Library, a position she held for
    several years.
    The marriage was short-lived and ended
    in divorce. No children.

    (2) Joanna Shelly (June 18,1888-
    Dec.1,1981). (surname may be Shelley
    which differed slightly from version used
    by her parents)
    They lived in the Toronto area where the
    first three of their six children were born.
    On Dec.18,1914 they left Canada and settled
    in Chester,Vermont but relocated to
    Brattleboro about 1921.
    After her husband's death she moved to
    Manhatten, NY City and later lived in FL.
    Children:
    (1) Elizabeth Mary (May 1, 1909-
    Nov.10,1997) died in Volusia County, FL.

    2) Margaret Ellen "Maggie" (Jan.31,1913-
    Aug.7,2007) married Robert I. Fitzgibbons
    (Mar.11,1911-Sept.1,1986). Boh are buried
    in Woodland Cemetery, Dayton, OH. They had
    no children.

    (3) Kathleen J. (July 27,1914-Oct.25,2012)
    was born in Newmarket, ON and died in State
    College, PA. On Aug.3,1963 in New Canaan,
    CT, she married Daniel C. McLean (Dec.20,
    1914-May 22,2007).
    Daughter: Barbara Jean (Jan.29,1939-Oct.1,
    2007) married first Wilhelm J. Kogelmann III
    (1939-2011) and second a Mr. Ruth.

    (4) Donald James (Apr.22,1919-
    June 17,2001) was married three times -
    - Jean Turner in Dec. 1941 (div.Oct.1969);
    - Dr. Jane Maxwell (July 12,1924-May 27,
    2000) died in Riverside, CA;
    - Catherine Collett Cook in Sept.2000.
    No children from any of these marriages.
    In 1987 Dr. Cram was awarded the Nobel Prize
    for Chemistry (see details in his memorial).

    (5) Constance Edith (Mar.30,1921- died
    before 1923 in VT).

    (6) Joanna Miriam "Joey/Joy" (Feb.7,1923-
    Nov.1974) died in Maryland.
