He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years Joy (nee-Pretty), loving father of Chris (Denise), Rodney (Annette) and Lois Perron (Norm Ducharme). Dear grandfather of Cherie Randell (Dave Sprout), Melanie Tyrrell (Chris), Stephen Perron, Michael Badour (Pam), Dawn Badour, Mandy Badour (Kevin Mohr), Allison Badour (Darren Leach)and Krista Badour. Special great-grandfather to Cali Randell and Oliver Mohr. Loving brother of Cecile Arsenault (Claude), Lucille Huet(Fred )and Donald Bedard(Evelyn). A very special uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father Joseph Badour, his mother Rita (Perron) Badour, his siblings Florence Fleury, Arthur, Marcel, Gerald, Edward and Orville. Mr. Badour owned and operated Kamiscotia Bus Lines for many years. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday May 14, 2012 at the First Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Timmins Memorial Cemetery. 4812 | BAIRD ? The death occurred at the Kirkland and District Hospital Tuesday October 2 1984 of Mr. William James Elmer Baird 858 Government Road West, Chaput Hughes at the age of 75 years. Born at Westmeath he had been a Kirkland Lake resident for the past 40 years, past president of the Chaput Hughes Lions Club, Northland Fastball Association from 1964-66, and Kirkland Lake Curling Club, he was also a life member of the N. F. A. and an associate member of Branch 87 Royal Canadian Legion. He is survived by his wife Mildred (nee Doyle) at home, his son Dale and wife Donna of Peterborough, brother Harvey of Carleton Place, and two grandchildren Todd and Mark. Another old resident of Fitzroy township in the person of Mr. George Baird, passed away on Monday morning at his home in the vicinity of Diamond. The deceased (sic) was in his 81st year and lived in that community all his life. He is survived by his widow, who before marriage was Elizabeth Gourlay, also one daughter and five sons as follows: Mrs. F. C. Baird, Kinburn; John Albert, Torbolton; William Edmund, Arthur, Garnet and Campbell, of Fitzroy. Four brothers ? Dr. J. G. of Riverside, Cal.; Samuel of Torbolton; Robert and William of Fitzroy ? also survive. Another brother, John, died in Fitzroy about two months ago. Millie leaves five great grandchildren, Rachel, Tracy May, Taylor, Brooke and Sheldon. She is predeceased by her parents Paddy and Mildred Doyle, brother Malcolm and Patrick and sister Lottie. She leaves sister-in-law Doreen Doyle, cousin Judy Veinot and many nieces and nephews. Millie was the Manager of the Credit Bureau for 40 years and a Town councillor for 20 years. She belonged to the Women's Business and Professional Club and the Kirkland Lake Curling Club. After his divorce from Em he married Ida Davies and they lived on Lindsay St. Regina, SK. When he retired they moved to Peachland, BC in the Okanogan. After his stroke he and Ida moved to Calgary, Alberta. Emerentianna: Em was the daughter of Eugene Materi & Margaret Ripplinger. Eugene was the first child born on the St. Joseph's Colony, near Balgonie, SK. Em farmed her own land until her last stroke in 1972. Later she and Claude sold their farms and retired. They enjoyed winters in the southern climes during the winter months for many years. She now resides in Regina, SK near her son Lee. Ida: Ida had two daughters: Ruth married Gary Ring.
